Wonderful place! I enjoyed a delicious omelette with pomme frites. However, the coffee was disappointing. Both my partner and I ordered cappuccinos, and we found the milk either tasted off or the coffee itself was a strange flavour. The drink was more like a milky latte with a little froth rather than a properly made cappuccino. On the bright side, the staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. I would recommend this spot for breakfast, but next time I will opt for a regular Americano.

Fable & Green is such a welcome addition to this end of town. The decor and atmosphere are absolutely stunning - excellent attention to detail with design and lovely gift selection. I came in for excellent wine and dinner with friends for for my birthday, great food and service. Thank you! The menu looks great - we look forward to coming back for brunch!

Just fabulous. Lovely people, great food, fantastic interiors, some great vintage collectables for sale and a real favourite at our end of Oxford Street!! Highly recommended. 👍👍👍

I would love to be able to give a full review of Fable and Green but, alas, I did not get beyond sitting down at a table. Plenty of staff around, the place not full , but no service. I sat at a table and was ignored for 10 minutes , a staff member even tending to the table next to me and still not acknowledging my presence. That blighter Harry Potter still hasn’t returned that invisibility cloak I lent him a few years back so I know I was visible. I even spoke to a member of staff upon entering, so he at least must have known I was there. I gave up waiting, leaving 4 members of staff chatting at the counter, oblivious to their surroundings it would seem. Despite not being busy several tables were not cleared of dirty plates, whilst my own table had not been wiped down properly. The plus side is that the atmosphere seemed warm and buzzy. I was really looking forward to trying this place, having driven past many times and seen it full, so I won’t give up on it just yet. I just hope that the waiting staff on duty next time understand what the...

Looked lovely but that's as far as it goes. It was not overly busy, and there appeared to be 4 staff serving. The table was cleared as we sat but no acknowledgement. We waited for 10 minutes before a young girl asked us for an order. We informed her we had no menus, and was pointed to boards on the wall behind us. My partner had to stand up and read them out as I am disabled. We settled for bacon and chicken toasties as alot was not available. She came back 5 minutes later, after talking about us to other staff!, and informed us we couldn't have the chicken as it was being saved in case someone wanted it with the roast! It was at this point we decided to leave, far too much like hard work, pretentious, and no customer service. They didn't seemed bothered at our departure. We ended up eating in the Spoons down the road which was efficient, pleasant, nice staff and adequate...

Just to be clear, this is a zero star review. We came in as a family of 3, 2 adults one infant. Extremely long wait to be served. We eventually ordered food and after a 40 minutes wait, we learned that our food was given to a couple that arrived almost 20 minutes after us. Staff should have realised that a family who ordered food almost 40 minutes ago were still waiting when other customers after them were almost finished with their meals. There was clearly no systems in place for not particularly a busy day. Overall it was a terrible service with our crying child leaving the restaurant starving.

We will...
