(thanks for the reply Luke - and apologies if I mistakenly thought I saw both americano and long black on the menu, I'm positive I ordered a long black because I'm fussy with my coffee and i know i love one but really don't like the other. when I sipped it at the table I didn't enjoy it and really thought i got served an americano. I left more than half. I did try what I was served, unfortunately I did not enjoy it. in the end, it's a matter of personal taste)

ordered a long black for 3£. was served an americano. they don't seem to know the difference, yet they have both (listed separately) on the menu and call them a specialty coffee. sigh. left without...

A little haven at the Oxford St end of the high street. Their own coffee, brewed locally is really good and served by knowledgeable and friendly staff. Food is prepared to order with my favourite being Brie and caramelised onion on toasted sourdough ATM! Always a choice of around 5 different freshly made cakes which always include a vegan and gluten free choice and they are all delicious. The Blondies are amazing. If you want mass produced and predictable food and drink go elsewhere but for the personal touch you cannot go wrong...

Absolutely some of the best coffee I have had recently, and certainly the best I have had in Whitstable!

This cute place has some seating inside and a couple of seats outside. It is extremely popular with locals and the occassional tourist who seaks it out.

The downsides are slow service, having waited around 10 minutes for a drink to come outside recently when a single staff member was working, but the great coffee makes up for it.

I'd recommend trying some of the sweet treats...

Visited in the early afternoon on a Sunday in late July. I bought an iced coffee from here and it was outstanding. The price was reasonable as I recall, just a shade more than £3. It wasn’t too busy when I visited. The service was prompt and friendly. I would happily return. Would be interested in trying some of their other, non-iced coffee offerings.

Wonderfully decorated coffee place. Bites were generally good, but the coffee left me pretty disappointed. The turmeric latte was not great as well. The staff seemed slightly souless and not really happy there. The cake and the decoration saved it for me, but I won't be too eager to return though.
