Cafe Central Carlisle — Restaurant in Carlisle

Totally bizarre experience with cafe central today, ordered on uber eats as I have done a few times before with no issues, an hour and a half goes by still no sign of the food so I call to find out if its on its way, where I'm greeted by a lady ranting about not being able to find my address which is odd because to be extra helpful to delivery drivers I add additional info that we are in a new build estate and where its located. Its also very easy to find on satnav. Apparently they only had my door number and postcode sent through but no street name....in that case any driver could do a quick Google of door number and postcode and it tells you exactly which street its located. Apparently they done this but still couldn't figure out where I lived even with the additional information I always leave. The blame was laid at the feet of uber eats which tbh I find questionable after the conversations (ranting in the background) I had on the phone. Asked if I wanted the food redelivered but I had to leave the house as it was now almost 2 hra later and who wants two hour old crusty food redelivered.......no offer of making fresh either just an argument that it wasn't their fault they couldn't work out my address from all the accurate information given. I will say the food is usually nice but the customer service is massively...

Came in to the cafe recently as I was passing via Carlisle on a business trip and wanted to stop off for a quick bite to eat. Google had given me several to choose from but I picked this little cafe as it looked nice from the pictures.

All the staff were knowledgeable of the menu and there item ingredients aswell as the specials that are on daily

In the end I went for the big breakfast and all I can say I WOW!!

Arrived quickly and was on a lovely hot plate aswell you can't wrong if you are wanting a breakfast that's going to fill you this is the place to go

Thought I'd treat my son and I to a breakfast after a long week and boy am glad I did! The portions are epic! First time in my life I haven't eaten all the mushrooms!! The teacup is practically bigger than my face and the teapot too! Huge portions! Very reasonably priced and the food was delicious!!! We really struggled to eat it all but we did our best!
