We were staying in the Pinegrove Hotel next door and reception recommended the Taste of Asia. When we googled the restaurant the choice of menus were so appealing, you had the choice of Indian, Thai, Chinese and Japanese; all dishes sounded delicious; so we reserved a table. We started off with a starter of Chinese Prawn Dumplings with a Soya Sauce dip and Crispy Duck Spring Rolls with a Sweet Chilli Sauce dip. Our main courses were Chicken Teriyaki with soy sauce, mirin, and sake, served with sautéd vegetables; and a Red Thai Prawn Curry; both dishes were served with Jeera Rice. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable, the staff were so friendly and tentative which made for a relaxed evening meal. I would certainly recommend this restaurant for its food, service and friendly staff. We certainly had a superb meal and would go back in an instance if we lived closer. Unfortunately, we visited on a Thursday which was a quiet evening. But that certainly didn’t detract from the excellent food and service we received.

My wife and i are very particular with finding the right restaurants as we are on a strict diet but we are allowed a treat meal once a week so it has to be something special as we explained to the lovely lady who gave us such a warm welcome as soon as we entered the building (sorry, forgot your name) hopfully she will remember us 😀 The service was excellent, food was outstanding, atmosphere was perfect! What stands out to me is that Taste of Asia has a versatile menu, If you like indian they got you, you like chinese, they got you, you like korean...you get my drift! the menu is perfectly balanced, so the chefs talents can focus on making each dish special. Thank you again for having us, and we will see you again. 😀

WARNING TO THOSE WITH ALLERGIES The whole experience was farcical! There were 2 people front of house, the owner and a staff member. Plenty of staff to cover 10 people over 2 tables. There was a table already in the restaurant of a family and our table of 4. We were seated and immediately and rather than a warm welcome, it felt like we were taking part in a marketing survey! It then took 39 minutes for us to get out first 2 drinks, cans of coke to which they stopped getting our drinks to go serve the only other table so we waited another 5 mins to get the other 2 soft drinks which should have been soda and lime and what we got was fizzy water with slices of lemon! Took almost an hour to get the first of our 4 starters, then a main course came out, followed by that person's starter. Another main course came out followed by a side (which was clearly pre-made and reheated from frozen) Then my main course came out. Prior to ordering any food the first thing I asked was could they ensure that any meal I had could be free of allergens for me. I have a serious allergy to mushrooms similar to nut allergies. I explained this in detail and told them how serious this was. The owner then came over to confirm this me (I have since been told that this lady is a Dr which makes this all the more shocking).I was told it was not a problem as everything is freshly made (total lie there were items that were clearly reheated from frozen) I took 2/3 bites out of my meal and could feel my lips and face start to tingle and my throat was swelling!! I then looked through my meal and there were multiple pieces of battered mushrooms. Asked to speak to the manager immediately who didn't come. I was then brought out the same plate of food minus the mushrooms and my starter, which was served with tomato ketchup and not the fancy sauce advertised. I did not eat anything else as I couldn't i needed medical treatment at this point. I asked to speak to the manager again. By this point myself and one friend are leaving due to me needing to go for medical attention, The owner came over to apologise and offer me another free meal next time. And said I wouldn't pay for my meal, I would have been paying for it regardless!! Seriously you could have killed me, you should be reviewed by the local council! I would never come back! I was also told that the food was ment for another table. There were no other tables at that point, we were the only table in the restaurant. To just lie to defend the utter careless behaviour of your staff in which could have resulted in serious illness or even death is shocking. More lies about not enough staff and inexperienced chefs, I saw at least 2 chefs one of which I have been told was probably her husband. We left and my other friends stayed to settle the bill for the food that was eaten and the 4 soft drinks we had. The owner did not charge us for anything, but we were more than willing to pay for what had been eaten. The experience was awful from start to finish. Worse than an episode of faulty towers. The food that my friends did have was not satisfactory either. Just a really horrendous experience from...

So... I tried to call this place to book a table, as online it says that a reservation is required. I tried calling the mobile phone number listed on Google, trip advisor, and various other places three times over 20 minutes, with no answer. I then went onto their website to see if I could book online. I was happy to see that there was, indeed a link on the website to book online. My hopefulness at finally being able to book a table was immediately dashed when I discovered that tapping the link did absolutely nothing! I then went onto their contact details page on the website, hoping to verify their contact number, or perhaps find an alternative. To my surprise, the website displayed an address and phone number for none other than Prague!!! I rang the mobile phone number again, and someone at a bakery answered! I asked if there's was Arya, completely confused, and the lady confirmed that it certainly was not and in fact, was actually a bakery of some description. I've had problems booking a table in the past due to high demand, but never due to an establishment no knowing in which country they are based, or providing a contact number that is valid. I opted to eat elsewhere, because if they are insisting on bookings, but I cant get hold of them, I don't hold any hope if I just show up... It's a real shame, because the menu actually looked pretty good. You guys need to figure out if you are actually based in the UK and give people a legitimate means of...

7th April I visited the Restaurant - On entering the restaurant we were greeted by nobody and almost chose our own table and sat down. To then be greeted by a very impatient and unaccommodating waitress of which had no customer service skills. Examples such as my friend ordering a drink and the waitress asking if we wanted 2 of that drink, of which I said no. The waitress then almost walked away from the table until realising, and then saying do you want a drink aswell? To then on ordering food, my friend trying to order and the waitress then turning to me to ask "what does she want?" Waited in excess of 2hr30 for food with absolutely no apology or reason. When the food arrived, it was cold as a whole and was average at best and that was probably only because we were absolutely starving by the time it come otherwise would have been inedible. Menus were not removed from the table throughout the entire meal, and had to ask for plates and cutlery after the food had finally arrived and were just dumped on the table on top of each other for us to sort ourselves.

Held off the review for the restaurant to resolve but no resolution. absolutely disgusting and should/would have just got up and walked out but we're repeatedly told the food was due to come out (when infact it...
