Recently visited the Half Crown and was a muddled affair. Food order was processed incorrectly, items missing from order, food incredibly salty, half of the advertised items that came with the roasts were missing (mashed potatoes/crackling/parsnips), carrots were raw and hadn't even been cooked (not al dente - you couldn't cut with a knife or pick up with a fork - both meals) staff are nice enough, but when issues mentioned, was asked do we want the kitchen notified, but we had waited so long for the missing gravy, couldn't be bothered to change veg as had started eating what we could and were hungry ... Do the chef's' check food against menu and that food isn't served raw? Need to sort out kitchen to make sure meals vaguely resemble menu! Previous offering was better but basic and was more of a 3-4 star. Had previously rated 4, as whilst food was basic, was fresh, hot, tasty and good value. Completely different staff and different proposition and experience...
Read moreDisappointed with managers / owners as myself and my partner we were waiting for my mother in law to pick us up, and we were sit down in what I though could be a place to do so. They do have a car park with us not closed to entrance. We are in a second lockdown so the pub is not in use. And we are not doing other than sit down, waiting, and playing with the phones. So not eating, drinking or doing any mess in the place. What I guessed was the owner came to tell us that she would have to tell us to leave... no other reason or other manners. I really hope after the lockdown you threat better people who frequently comes for this areas, otherwise be ready to close down, because people like you honestly deserve it! As requested I guess for the managers my Tripadvisor review is...
