Hoy & Helmet — Restaurant in Castle Point

I recently visited the Hot and Helmet Pub in Benfleet, Essex, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The warm and cozy atmosphere of the pub immediately made me feel welcome and ready for a great evening.

The exceptional service provided by Chris and Leah truly made the visit special. From the moment I arrived, Chris greeted me with a friendly smile and quickly showed me to my table. His professionalism and attentiveness were apparent throughout the evening, ensuring that my orders were taken promptly and accurately. Chris’s recommendations for both food and drinks were spot on, enhancing my dining experience significantly.

Leah took over with seamless service once I was seated. Her warm demeanor and genuine enthusiasm created a welcoming environment. She was attentive without being intrusive, making sure I had everything I needed at just the right moments. Leah’s suggestions for drinks were excellent.

The food and drinks at the Hot and Helmet Pub were of the highest quality, but it was the outstanding service from Chris and Leah that truly made my evening extraordinary. Their combined efforts created an unforgettable dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone.

sat 16th March

within 2 mins a bloke challenged me for not saying thank you as i walked past. I did. he was off his face....

bloke at bar staggering everywhere. When i was ordering a drink he was going to "glass him" bar staff just kept supplying him with drinks and shots and doing high fives? We heard what he said. Bar staff didnt seem to care....

bunch of lads in corner so drunk. One of them passed out.

every single person in there could not articulate any sentence with out throwing in a f#ck or f#cking at top of voice.... Women and older couples all within earshot.

all before 630pm....

i am 48. I know a good time and not quite ready for pipe n slippers yet. But what the hell has happened to this pub ??? By the end of the night, club songs on jukebox. Oh dear.. ... a pub.

After meeting up for years here. Clearly management dont seem to care and bouncers present make it clear . It can and will kick off. Myself and a bunch of guys will be going...

What an incredible time at The Hoy and Helmet! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was absolutely electric – warm, welcoming, and full of energy. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive.

The pizza? Out of this world! Fresh, packed with flavor, and easily one of the best I've had in a long time. You can tell they take pride in their food, and it definitely shows.

A special mention has to go to the live singer Kyley, who was nothing short of outstanding. Her voice lit up the whole place and had everyone captivated. And just when i thought the night couldn't get better, the karaoke kicked off and took the vibe to the next level – such a fun, lively way to wrap up the evening!
