A Disastrous Experience with Waiter Ibrahim at Charminar Restaurant
I recently visited Charminar Restaurant, and unfortunately, my experience was completely soured by the appalling behavior of a waiter named Ibrahim. I’m no stranger to dining out, but I’ve never encountered such unprofessionalism and rudeness in any restaurant before.
From the moment Ibrahim approached our table, it was clear he didn’t want to be there. He barely made eye contact, gave off an extremely indifferent vibe, and didn't even bother with the usual polite greetings you'd expect from someone in customer service. I’m all for casual, laid-back service, but there’s a line between that and just plain bad attitude—and Ibrahim crossed it from the get-go.
When we asked him about the specials, he responded with a sarcastic tone and a condescending eye roll. I wasn’t sure whether he thought we were supposed to already know the menu or if he just didn’t want to be bothered, but either way, his response was incredibly unprofessional. It wasn’t just the lack of enthusiasm—it was the outright disdain he seemed to have for us as customers. It felt like he was doing us a favor just by taking our order, and God forbid we asked a follow-up question.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the truly disrespectful part came when he started making fun of us for some of our choices. We asked about a dish we weren’t familiar with, and instead of offering helpful information, he scoffed and laughed loudly, mocking us for not knowing what it was. He even went so far as to say, "I guess you must be new here," with a snide grin. It was clear that he wasn't making a lighthearted joke; it felt more like an insult. He wasn’t trying to be funny—he was just rude.
When we asked for recommendations, he rolled his eyes so dramatically that it almost looked like he was trying to avoid eye contact with us entirely. He seemed impatient and annoyed that we were wasting his time. We couldn’t get a word in edgewise without him cutting us off and making some passive-aggressive remark. I don’t know how Charminar can allow someone like Ibrahim to work in their establishment, as his attitude is completely detrimental to the dining experience.
What made the situation even worse was his complete lack of attention to detail. We had to repeat our orders several times because Ibrahim was too distracted or uninterested to properly write them down. When the food eventually arrived, some of the items we had ordered were wrong, and when we brought it to his attention, he looked at us like we were inconveniencing him. No apology, no acknowledgment—just a grumble and a half-hearted attempt to correct the mistake.
It’s also worth mentioning that throughout the meal, Ibrahim barely checked in on us. We had to wave him down multiple times just to get water refills or request condiments. It was clear that he was more interested in chatting with his coworkers than taking care of his tables. There was a point where I genuinely felt like we were invisible to him.
I honestly don’t expect to be treated like royalty when I go out to eat, but I do expect basic respect and decent customer service. Ibrahim’s behavior was the exact opposite of that. It ruined what could have been an enjoyable meal, and I’m honestly questioning whether I’ll return to Charminar Restaurant after this experience.
If you value a positive dining experience with friendly, professional service, I highly suggest avoiding Ibrahim. His attitude was appalling, and it’s clear he doesn’t care about providing good service to customers. I sincerely hope the management at Charminar takes the time to address this issue, as no customer should ever feel as disrespected as I did...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Charminar Restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.
Starters: We started our meal with the Tandoori Chicken and Chicken 65. Both dishes were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Tandoori Chicken was tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of smokiness from the tandoor. The Chicken 65 had a delightful blend of spices, with a crispy exterior and juicy interior that left us wanting more.
Curries: For the curries, we opted for the Badami Lamb Handi and Achari Chicken, accompanied by Butter Naan. The Badami Lamb Handi was a standout, featuring succulent pieces of lamb in a rich, creamy almond-based sauce that was simply divine. The Achari Chicken offered a tangy and spicy contrast, with the perfect balance of pickling spices that made every bite a burst of flavor. The Butter Naan was the ideal accompaniment, buttery and soft, perfect for scooping up the delicious curries.
Main Course: In the main course, we indulged in both Chicken Biryani and Lamb Biryani. Each biryani was fragrant and flavorful, with tender pieces of meat and perfectly cooked rice. The spices were well-balanced, making each mouthful a delightful experience. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring we left the table fully satisfied.
Desserts: To finish off the meal, we tried the Shahi Rabadi and Fruit Ka Meetha. The Shahi Rabadi was rich and creamy, with a wonderful blend of saffron and cardamom that made it a decadent treat. The Fruit Ka Meetha provided a refreshing end to the meal, with the sweetness of the fruits complemented by a hint of spice.
Service: The service at Charminar Restaurant was impeccable. The staff were well-behaved, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal.

⭐ 1/5 Stars - Avoid at All Costs
My recent visit to Charminar restaurant was, regrettably, an overwhelmingly negative experience from start to finish. What began with anticipation quickly devolved into a series of frustrations, culminating in a complete lack of customer service.
The initial wait for our food was excessively long, a minor inconvenience that became a significant issue when the dishes finally arrived cold. Naturally, we sent them back, expecting a fresh replacement. To our dismay, the food was merely microwaved and returned to our table, sacrificing any semblance of quality or care. This not only demonstrated a disregard for food standards but also resulted in a poor taste that was far from enjoyable.
Beyond the culinary shortcomings, the service was equally subpar. Despite approaching the manager on three separate occasions to address our concerns, we were met with an astonishing lack of remorse or apology. The manager's complete indifference to our legitimate complaints was truly shocking and left us feeling unheard and undervalued as customers. To add insult to injury, we were still charged in full for this abysmal experience.
In summary, Charminar restaurant delivered late, cold, and poorly reheated food, coupled with exceptionally poor service and an unapologetic management team. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering dining here to avoid it at all costs. There are undoubtedly many other establishments that value their customers and take pride...
