Awful food hygiene, terrible staff. I come in for the first time to this Burger King and it was by far the worst experience. I go to order at the till and ask for a vegan Royale and the person I was with had a whopper. the lady behind the till asked me what drink I wanted and I asked if they had Pepsi and she kept snapping at me saying they have coke. I told her that was fine and she kept making comments about coke and Pepsi - how was I supposed to know what drinks were available? if that wasn't odd enough, when my order was ready, they handed me an EMPTY CUP to fill up myself, so what was the need to make such a big fuss on what drink I was having??? After all this, the worst part of the experience was definitely watching the staff make all the orders with loose hair, no hair nets, and no gloves! I quite literally watched the kitchen staff make a meat burger then handle my vegan burger afterwards - making me feel extremely nauseous to even think about and it's quite frankly illegal and does not abide the Cross Contamination Food Allergy and Intolerance laws. This place clearly doesn't respect dietary requirements so if you're a vegan or vegetarian, or have any sort of allergy, avoid this place! I have attached photos to show the staff handling food without gloves, a lack of hair nets and even a photo with what seems to be the manager entering the kitchen, in regular clothing (it's against food hygiene laws to enter a kitchen without changing your outside clothes/not wearing an apron), with her hair in a loose pony tail and no hair net. honestly quite shocking for such a big company to be allowing unprofessional and untrained managers to represent their brand and run a business. this place is chaotic and the staff are clueless and uncoordinated, just do everyone a favour and get this business shut down before we all get...
Read moreI went to Loughborough Burger King their first day, spent 15minutes queueing because they were busy. When I was being served I asked for a double bacon cheese xl burger because according to the website, between 2-5pm Monday-friday it's £3. So ordered 2 and a fries. I was nearly charged full price for the burgers (£7.49 each) until I pointed out the offer.
Then when it came to pay, I only had cash, and the told me that it was card only because they didn't have any change on the opening day ??? There was no sign anywhere telling customers this, if there had been, I wouldn't have queued pointlessly for so long.
Because I didn't have the funds in my account, I had to rush to town to put my cash in the bank before 5pm when the offer ended.
I then rushed back to burger King, tried to make the same order at about 4.45pm. When I gave the same woman the same order, she tried to charge me full price AGAIN for the burgers, (£14.98 instead of the £6 it was meant to be) I pointed out her mistake again and she actually had the cheek to say "oh I thought you had forgotten about the offer"
I paid the right price eventually and left with my food..... but it seems clear to me, that unless you point out the offers available, the staff there will purposefully charge you the higher price.
Be Careful and check the bill before paying.
Awful...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe popped in for lunch, half a dozen tables were all dirty and not consistently kept clean. I asked if they had a cloth so I could wipe our table down and after 5 minutes someone came and wiped our table but the 5 empty tables around us weren't touched and still looked gross with crumbs all over them. There was also bits of burger and fries on the floor from previous customers. The bathroom locks are dodgy. I went to the loo and tried locking the door multiple times and it didn't seem to want to catch, I thought I finally got it to catch and tried pushing it open with a bit of force and it seemed fine. Then, all of a sudden, the door was pulled open, luckily post performance, and a man walked in on me as they are unisex toilets. Honestly not impressed or good enough. Apologies to the gentleman if he saw anything. The quality of the food is good but has potential to be great. The flame broiled burgers are fantastic but are let down by the cheese being put on cold and not even slightly melted and the buns being rather dry. If they just put the buns in a humidifing drawer it would absolutely turn these burgers into something fantastic and would probably also solve the problem of crumbs left...
