SpiceCube — Restaurant in Charnwood

Do not use this restaurant if you book through Just Eat. The staff contradict themselves (which is a polite way of saying they lie). Staff also don't allow customers to speak without speaking over them. I will expand... 1st call (after food was 15 minutes late): "I'm reallly sorry, we've been busy. Your food is ready to be distributed & will be with you in 20 minutes". 2nd call: "Can I confirm your address. Food will be within 5 minutes". 3rd call - "Did you book through Just Eat?" Me "Yes". Then "We haven't got the money so we're not sending the food. You should have booked direct" (at this point a lots of comments by myself where I was constantly talked over) ending in "We're not sending the food with no money". Having had converstions with Just Eat the money had been approved & it was Spice Cube's way of not bothering to accept their commitments via Just Eat. Interestingly, it's not the first time they've moaned to me about booking via Just Eat. I took up an offer which stated that if I spent over £25 I'd get a free bottle of coke/diet coke etc. When the food arrived the delivery man told me I can't have the coke as Just Eat take 20%. After speaking to Spice Cube, it transpires that the offer on the Just Eat website & comment made "in their offices" should not be passed to customers via their delivery people. In all honesty, the food is lovely - the staff are not. They lie & they're rude. ...

Recently moved into the area and tried both indians in the area , this one by far was the better restaurant. It was very clean and excellent service. While waiting for the food we recieved popadoms with dips which was a nice touch so you feel like your not waitint a while , as soon as we finished the popadoms our food was out , it was all hot and tasted fresh . First visit. Take own alcohol. Soft drinks available. Not a lot of parking spaces available on main road. Phone didn't stop ringing for take out so shows how popular this place is. Suggest you book in advance. Staff really friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Good sized portions too. Really tasty and thick curry sauces with a good selection of favourite dishes but a nice selection of curries I've never heard of either ! Had to try something different and they didn't disappoint !
