Always a warm welcome. A proper pub in the sense that there is memorabilia, old brass hanging off the walls, beer mats stapled to the bar and an array of ales and whiskies. There is ample seating that is spacious, spread out and private enough for small and large gatherings. The clientele is what sets this place apart, it's a traditional wet pub and so it attracts those looking for exactly that. The atmosphere is VERY warm and welcoming, since Alice and Fred took over the pub in April 2023. There is always a fantastic selection of real ales on offer (and guest beers that change regularly) as well as all the other drinks that you would expect to find in a local pub. It's always a pleasure to spend time in the pub, and a warm welcome awaits everyone who comes through the doors.
