I ordered my coffee before I left my house via click and collect. Left early to beat local traffic on Monday morning. Turn up to a sign on the door to say no staff but drive thru still open. Had no choice having paid for the drink already to sit in a really slow queue. Told woman over the tannoy that I’ve ordered via C&C. I pulled up and I’m immediately given the drink I ordered 15 mins ago which is now like warm at best. I have asked to see if it’s hot and why they would make it knowing I’d have to sit in the drive thru queue - to be told ‘we have to make it as soon as we receive the order’ clearly common sense does not prevail here. Got a load of attitude from the woman in there and now sat in traffic late for work - thanks Costa! . I’ll go Mac Donald’s next time for a coffee half the price and done properly. Pull your socks up. The toilet is almost always in need of a clean-up which is a criticism of every Costa branch I have visited.
Coffee is more expensive at Costa than the three alternatives only a few hundred yards away, but you do get a nicer seat if its not busy, and proper cups and saucers if you prefer to pay for that...
