I often would come here with my dog and baby alone or meeting other mums as its a short walk for me. I went today and I usually sit outside unfortunately there was only one table left and it was in the direct sun when we arrived - as I had an 8 month old baby and my dog with me I moved the table into the shade to drink my coffee. No issues as there was plenty of room to do so and the opposite side also had a table in the same space noting I was just under 2m from the door. After we ordered and had our drinks brought to us (note i ordered an iced coffee however it arrived with no ice?!) someone else who worked there came out raising her voice shouting at us that we were a causing a fire risk by being so close to the door. I explained we had a dog and baby and couldn't sit in the sun and there was plenty of room. The lady kept coming back shouting and trying to humiliate myself and my friend (also with her even younger baby). I said we would drink up and leave so she would stop shouting at us in front of around 10+ people. It seemed this lady really wanted to continue arguing and was totally unprofessional. We left quite soon after and have been put off going back. It's definitely not an atmosphere or service you expect for a quiet coffee! It's really not worth the hassle for a pretty average and warm...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is really close to my office, so I suggested to my girlfriend to spend the day there as she needed a place where she could get some work done. During lunch break i passed by and ordered something for my gf to eat. The moment i left the place, my girlfriend tells me that the waitress asked her to either leave or order something. I've never been to a place that treat their customers this way. She had already ordered tea before i came in and i added an overpriced panini sandwich to the table.. and on top of that, the place was almost empty! Do they expect their customers to order something for every hour they spend? By the way, my girlfriend had to add a milkshake to the order so she could stay for a bit longer. I seriously will never step foot in this...

One was like 2 items less than you would have on a full English. And my son who has allergies had bread and my daughter wanted bacon so basically my son had the bread to my daughters sandwich. The waitress came out and said we can do it this once but we canāt do it again if we are busy. Was no one in there. I have worked in very high end restaurants and wouldnāt dream of saying that to anyone. We sat opposite the kitchen and could see how rude they were being about the order. That werenāt hard to do. Everything was an effort and chore. I couldnāt wait to leave and would...
