UPDATE 9/10/25 after owner reply to this review, i have checked my emails and spam folder and I haven't recevied any response.

We have visited here many times and had only experienced one or two issues where the glasses we we given for our drink were dirty so we asked for the drinks to be replaced into clean glasses. However, we visited the sandwich bar on thr 3/10/25 and ordered a sausage cob on brown and a ham salad on brown. The ham salad was just ok, however the sausage cob was dreadful well below the standard expected for the cost we were charged, it contained 2, just cooked and tasteless sausage, no butter and non offered. The ham salad and sausage butties cost £10:40, this was just for the butties we didnt order anything else, this is totally an unrealistic and extortionate price to pay even if the butties were of good standard. I have emailed twice, via the contact us option on the website but not received any response. We appreciate that prices have increased over time however £10:40 for 2 mediocre butties isnt acceptable. Member of the team who served us on the day was obviously not enjoying her role that day which is a shame as normally the team are...

Had a lovely mini breakfast here today. Ordered tea for 2, small pot arrived and when I asked to have some extra hot water added, I got raised eyebrows from the server and a very negative comment about usually being charged. I have never had this experience in any other cafe ive been in and am most disappointed that this is the case here. The tea was far too strong for our taste and to suggest payment is usual if extra water is required, is outrageous.

...no I wasn't charged but was told that "the boss doesnt like us topping up tea pots" and that she'd get told off if she was seen and that a second pot of tea usually needs to be purchased. I think it would be good practice to offer a jug of hot water as standard as the tea was far too strong. Other local cafe...

Now this might seem a bit quirky, the business is situated on a modernish housing estate at Walton buut.. it punches above its weight. The coffee shop/bar is at one end of a row of shops and their eatery/deli at the other. You can have breakfast at the coffee shop but the food gets brought from the eatery. scones are FRESH but Duerrs (mercy)jam. Coffee fine, Tea Ok. Food looked good. Nice furnishings and setting, diligent staff. Go again, if I lived here absolutely, a bit of an odd destination for a tourist but even then worth it. Be interesting to see what it's bar mode is like later, it's not a boozer, think European cafe where people also drink. Definitely...
