Lime & Spice — Restaurant in Chichester

Ordered a takeaway from here, and was it ready in good time for pick up. The food was for the most part good and the onion bhajis were excellent. My one and only issue was that the restaurant's style of Chicken Tikka Masala was not to my liking. It was very minty and fruity in taste and unlike any Tikka Masala I have ever had. I would have preferred a more traditional rendition. To be fair when we ordered the restaurant warned us that their Tikka Masala was quite different. Fantastic service and food. Despite a few misleading negative reviews, we tried Lime & Spice and were very impressed (and we're fussy when it comes to spending money!) You can see the food being prepared and cooked if you wait on the exit to the men's loo, and I must say how impressed I was. Some times they're so busy they don't get time to answer the phone, that's a sign of good reputation if they're THAT busy on word of mouth alone (I've never seen any adverts for them but everyone rants about them) so I'm not surprised there are a few disgruntled people reviewing about the phone not being answered. Been visiting for the last 3 years on the way home from the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Atmosphere is typical curry house and has never been uncomfortably busy on any of our visits. Food is typical fare, tasty and, in good value portions; not the best I've ever had, but absolutely not disappointing (wouldn't have been back otherwise!).
