I haven’t been for a few years now but remembered it was lovely on previous visits. I called in advance as it was a Saturday evening to book a table. They managed to squeeze us in but made it clear the time they needed the table after us which was fine. Arrived and parking was fine even though busy with lots of hustle and bustle. A lovely intimate dining room which was busy with a large group tending a birthday celebration. Decor is beginning to show signs of needing an upgrade, with peeling wallpaper and bent cutlery confirming as much. A great atmosphere nonetheless with families of all ages and couples dining. We were seated and served drinks in a timely manner by a pleasant bar staff. Our food order came shortly after from a young male who was also pleasant and the await for food wasn’t too long. The disappointment soon dawned as the fries were swimming in oil sadly, with black scraps ones that had clearly done a few rounds in the fryer before making their way out into our portion. The garlic bread with cheese was too greasy and soggy, the base was very raw and mixed with the grease from the garlic it was a doughy mess when trying to eat. Didn’t even start the other pizza. Soup was the highlight, it tasted fresh and flavoursome, I particularly enjoyed the accompanying bread. Wasn’t a fantastic meal all in all and certainly not how I remembered it from before. Very busy but food standards slipping in order to just get people in and out. I could forgive some of this if it wasn’t for one female employee who was gross. She came at the end and I asked for the untouched pizza to be boxed to takeaway, not thinking this would be an issue as they offer takeaway service as well, well I was shocked when she openly displayed annoyance at my request and proceeded to pile the dishes up in order to take them away, placing a plate directly on top of the pizza I wanted to take whole. She was clearly in some form of anguish for whatever reason so we paid our bill and left without causing a scene or complaining. They seemed too busy to care anyway as we stood around waiting a while just to for someone to come and take our payment. The box that did eventually come out for us to takeaway we binned in the end given how the food was treated and probably wise considering the rest of the meal was a flop. So a poor meal and ended with a staff member in a huff taking it out on poor unsuspecting customers. It could be some time before we bother going again if at all.

This has been one of my local restaurants since I have lived in the area (forever). It has always kept up its reputation of a lovely Italian restaurant perfect for birthdays and celebrations. I visited this weekend for an evening meal and it didn’t disappoint. Staff were lovely and provided a great service and the food was very tasty, with generous portions. My niece is a vegetarian and has quite a limited diet, they were happy to provide to a simple spaghetti Napoli and do have a note on the menu highlighting the veggie and vegan options are available. They have a lot of midweek deals on at great prices so I would recommend going in the week. 📸PICTURED📸 spaghetti Con Frutti Di Mare Pane All Aglio Con Pomodoro Spaghetti Napoli For more local reviews, check out my Instagram @niceatsuk

Been here many times over the years. I took my boys and mum on Monday evening, luckily they fitted us in as it was really busy. They have an amazing deal on a Monday and pizza or pasta dish £5.99. the portions are normal size and they are delicious. I had the lasagne and a rocket salad. My son's had Bolognese and carbonara they both said it was really good. Mum had a pizza with chicken and sweetcorn which was nice but the base could have been cooked more. Overall a great evening , the staff are brilliant and the atmosphere was great with it being so busy. I highly recommend trying here and they do deals during the week, so a good opportunity to try it for a very reasonable price.

My partner pre booked a table for 2 for 13.45. Unfortunately due to temporary traffic lights we arrived late. We apologized for being late and the staff showed us to a table. The table was awful and was squashed behind another table, making myself and my partner feel uncomfortable with how restricted the space was. We asked to move tables and staff moved us with no issue. We then browsed the menu and asked for drinks. My partner asked about Gluten free and was informed that there was an extra charge of £2 per gluten free item. This was explained to us that due to cost of living prices rising that it was a necessity. My partner is coeliac so this felt discriminatory as no other prices have been raised. We asked for a few more minutes to decide on our food and was not approached for over 10 minutes after even after putting our menus to the side after a few minutes. My partner had the gluten free paté and I had the scallops. Our starters came out in a reasonable time and food was warm. My partner had a slice of stale bread with her paté which she ate due to no member of staff checking back on the table once during the starters. The scallops contained 2 reasonably sized scallops and a tomato sauce. 2 scallops for £13 seems a little unreasonable personally. I found chunks of garlic about half the size of a full clove within the sauce that over whelmed anything else which I did separate. Again I could not mention this to staff as there was no check back on the table. A member of staff took the plates away and did not ask how the food was and we were not offered any more drinks. To say it was a Monday afternoon it was busy and I can forgive mistakes in customer service but after our starters were took, we waited over another 30 minutes for our mains to arrive. I had to inform a server that we had still not had our main meal. This would not have bothered me but in the 30 minutes, we noticed 3 members of staff stood talking and had still not been asked about drinks until I raised the issue. After asking about our mains they arrived within a few minutes and looked as if they had both been left under the kitchen lights. My pizza base was like toast and my partners pasta was warm on the top but not through the middle. Again no member of staff checked back with us through the meal. On finishing the meal I asked for the bill and went to pay. On paying we weren't even asked how the meal was and I was that upset I just wanted to pay and leave. In over 90 minutes not one member of staff asked how the meal was. This is a shame as we have been previously and never had any issue like this. It may have been an off service but we will not be returning as we feel that the staff team could not care less. Both myself and my partner have come home...

Have never eaten here, but only ever heard positive feed back. Cousins birthday, I do not live in the area so rang to order some bottles of bubbles for the table. Only writing this as experience was very upsetting and I am still shocked. I spoke with a lady, explained cousin having birthday dinner (I did get name wrong that table was ordered under) so wanted to make sure was correct table. She said I was loud and shouting. I have a loud voice (nodules on voice box). But its also naturally loud as well. I do not raise my voice, it is not my style also my voice loud enough. It doesnt need raising. We finally worked out correct table, I then thought she had gone to get payment machine. But she just hung up. So I called back, another waitress answered. I explained previous call and again asked if I could pay over phone for bottles of bubbles. I was asked to wait a moment whilst she fetched the machine. Whilst I waited I had to listen to what herself and the first waitress were saying about me. Won't lie, it was very upsetting and I'm quite a tough cookie. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional as well as hurtful. When she came back on phone I politely told her I heard all their conversation, she went quiet and apologised then asked if still wanted the bubbles. I politely replied 'I don't think so'. Not sure what to take away from this experience. At least cover phone or put on hold if your going to talk badly about someone who wishes to spend money whom you have never...
