Staff are very rude and lie. Placed a click and collect order and went to collect to be told that they were closed. Explained it had already been ordered and I was within collection time to be told it was Rivington North I need to collect from even though I ordered at Rivington South. Was told by staff theyd ring across and explain error. Was advised to cross over bridge, it was dark and couldn't see part way through the path was just a mud bath.
Got to North and he hadn't a clue what I was talking about as he was new. The other guy hadn't rang over. There was another customer experiencing the exact same issue except he had ordered at North, sent over to South then back to North. North staff member then rang the manager who cancelled the orders whilst we were waiting. Asked to speak to her and the phone was hung up. Told to speak to her the following morning. Asked for her name (Rachel) and a contact number but was told there is no number and I need to go in and speak personally. It's a service station and catches passing trade, not a corner shop that has regular customers.
Wouldn't even make the food up there and then saying that they are now closed as well. Crossed back over to South just as the guy was leaving and asked why he didn't ring like he said and he just shrugged shoulders...

The further I was get to the counter, there was a young girl calling everyone 'darling', 'love', 'sweetheart' which sounded so patronising!! And then further down the line another young girl was saying the same thing! Is this part of the Subway customer service training? As it sounds horrendous. As I got to the final person at the Till, he did not have a clue what I was purchasing & had the cheek to ask me as he had put different things on the Till, to then get arsey with me because I had to correct him. As I work in retail/customer service myself, I would not train my team to use patronising language towards our customers & to know exactly what the customer is purchasing. Food is always good & shop is always clean, would just like to see smiling faces & positive language...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's ok... waited hours for the train here before someone pointed out its not that kind of a subway and that it was a build your own sandwich chain... I started to have a go at it but wasn't very good, then someone called security and they said it wasn't that kind of build your own sandwich place either... very confusing! The security guards were friendly though and sat with until the police arrived and the ambulance to take me back to hospital. One of them, Derek, even let me use his telephone to call my friend New Lewis! ( He had to put the numbers in though because I had Chipotle and southwest sauce on my fingers! (Also, I was a bit disappointed in the actual SouthWest sauce itself as I've been to Cornwall and don't remember it being a thing there, surely "Cornish pasty sauce" would be...
