When I arrived i was quickly shown to my room, when looking around the room was very clean and included toiletries, tea coffee, towels etc with a shower ensuite.. the staff and locals were incredibly friendly especially the guy who was serving behind the bar. The view from the room was incredible and the place itself had a peaceful feel to it with a beer garden with avaliable shade to enjoy the views, I was able to take food and drink to the room as long as I didn't spill it ;), although the pub does seem in the countryside it is 10 min drive from chorley railways Station which was perfect for going to the concert I went to, when the pub is shut at night the rooms are accessible with a secure door via some stairs on the outside, the room keys have a fob provided to be able to open it. After waking i wasn't full of aches and pains which i sometimes get from sleeping in a different bed with my bad back and i did actually struggle to pull myself out of it, all i can say is thank god for the 11am check out time. My only concern is for a single room I was charged £40, for what was provided as well as the service I would of...

Visited last Friday after a recommendation from a friend , it was very busy but we found a table , as we were only having a drink a member of staff asked us to move which was fair enough , we moved into a corner seat in the couch area . It was a lovely evening up until about 10 pm when a large group of very rowdy people came in , a fight broke out at the bar , glasses got smashed and the staff tried hard to stop and remove those involved , but they refused and again a fight broke out , which rapidly moved over to the area we were sat in . The couch was pushed forward blocking us in and the mob still continued to knock hell out of each other . My friend stood in front of me to shield me , amazingly he wasn't hurt. Eventually they all moved out side and the police turned up . The staff were very apologetic and offered us drinks but as it was the end of the night and we were driving we declined the offer . I messaged the pub the next day about this matter but they have yet to respond . I'm sure this was a one off, as it seemed a lovely place, but would have expected some kind of...

Absolutely stunning meal tonight and well worth every single penny! We had the sticky sausages to start, 2 of us had the curry and one had the steak and everything was perfection. Portion sizes are extremely generous. Service was top notch, too. We then went and sat outside for a few drinks and a chat and the atmosphere with the view was lovely. We will definitely be returning.

Really grateful for 2 members of staff, a lady and a young male who helped me tonight. First one was the lady noticed I was trying to breastfeed but I was by the window and it was really warm and sunny so she offered to close the blinds for us. Second was the young male who saw I was carrying my drink outside and push the pram at the same time so he took my drink and carried it out for me. Small gestures like this made it easier for me and makes me even more inclined to return. It’s daunting going out with a newborn, but when you have staff helping like they did just made the experience less stressful, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal even more...

I recently visited The Hinds Head for some hearty, comforting food. I started with the breaded goat’s cheese, which was a special at the time and I really hope they add it to the main menu because it was divine! For mains, I went for the fish pie, which came out piping hot and packed with fresh, tasty fish. Exactly how a fish pie should be! A usual order for me is the slow roasted lamb shank, it’s always cooked to perfection with a great portion of meat and just look at that minted mash😍 I love how the Hinds Head has that proper classic pub feel but with a modern twist on both the decor and menu. Always a solid choice! 📸PICTURED📸 Breaded goats cheese Sticky chipolata sausages Soup of the day Signature fish pie Roasted salmon Slow roasted lamb shank

Had heard good things about the Hinds Head and was really pleased that I went. Lovely calm atmosphere and plenty of tables close to the bar as well as a separate room. Menu has got a wide range of options, and the price of the items is great, especially when you see the size of the items. Had a delicious garlic bread with feta and red onion that was absolutely huge and delicious. Fish & Chips for my main, homemade mushy peas and tartare sauce were both excellent. Batter on the fish was really light but nicely crispy. Didn't look at the dessert menu but only because I was absolutely stuffed. Meal with 1 starter, 2 mains and 2 drinks was less than £40. Absolute bargain. Staff were all brilliant. Highly recommended it.
