Chinese Flavour — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

Always praised this establishment in the past but that changed last night. Ordered Singapore noodles a beef curry, portion of chips and a portion of curry sauce all for home delivery. Food arrived and I noticed that the chips were missing. Phoned them up and was informed that the chips were in the same dish as the curry. I informed them that I didn't order it that way and the guy said that the staff were being trained on the tills and that's where the mistake was made. He then spoke to the manager and I was informed that they would send the correct order but that I would have to pay another £2.60 delivery despite it being there fault. They said that I would have to hand the delivery driver the wrong dish back. I said that I. had already paid a delivery charge and there was no way I was paying for another delivery as it wasn't my fault! I was on the phone for around 15 mins and I really felt sorry for the chap I was speaking to as he was the go-between. I kept getting told that if I wanted food I would have to pay another delivery charge. Eventually the chap on the phone said he would deliver my food at no charge. Im afraid even when the correct order arrived the curry was inedible. The meat was as tough as old boots and I couldnt chew it! It went in the bin. I ended up having chips and curry sauce for dinner! The other dish I ordered wasn't for me but apparently that was ok. I won't be ordering from.here again They need to be able to admit when they have got it wrong...

So I called to place an order. Placed order and got cut off. Tried ringing again and couldn't get through. In the interim I found somewhere else to get my order. Called again and got through so told them the order and when I said I would pick up and cancelled said order. "no problem" I was told. Just received a call from them saying "when are you picking up the order" I explained I wasn't due to cancellation. The guy asked if I was joking and told him I wasn't. He said "this is a joke to you" I again said I wasn't joking! Having cancelled the order already I shouldn't have to explain myself... He again accused me of messing them around and hung up the phone. I'm not in the business of making people's jobs harder than they need to be as work in a similar industry. Not my fault they hung up on me!

On a good note, my order from another place came on time and was great. Not going to say where from, so as not to raise suspicion of negative marketing.

Typical Chinese, they sell the leftovers from the weekend, I got the deep fried salt & pepper mixed meat & it was absolutely shocking, it was dry, chewy & absolutely NOT how it should be, these Chinese takeaways need to be told they can't keep ripping off their customers by selling the leftovers as fresh, it's a dam disgrace that their allowed to continue doing business that way 😡 obviously they don't give a dam about the reviews because they're still selling leftovers as fresh, no one should ever have to pay for leftovers, it's absolutely shocking, I would never recommend that Chinese, especially at the beginning...
