Costa Coffee — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

Whoever manages this shop should get the sack...Came in with my family after a day's shopping wanting to just sit down and enjoy a good cuppa before heading home.My son and i needed the toilet so left my wife to order while we went.Toilets stink from the corridor (right next to costumer tables)the stench of urine is unreal ,there is no toilet roll or paper towels and forget about washing your hands because soap dispensers are empty(in every toilet)the toilets themselves are absolutely disgusting cleaner to go to a service station toilet!I complain to a member of staff who not only failed to adress th issue but also failed to give 2 monkeys about it..When i got to the table my wife tells me she had to clear her own table and change her drink 4 times as they didn't have what she wanted and my iced coffee had no lid because they ran out of those as well and we couldn't use our loyalty card because the system wasn't working but we could take a receipt to another shop to get the points!When I went to ask for a large paper cup so I could take my drink in the car I was told they also ran out of large and medium cups but i could have 2 small cups instead!!Absolutely ludicrous that a brand like Costa allows a shop to be ran down like this next time we'll just go to Nero or Starbucks across the road ,less chances of disappointment or...

I’m not usually one to leave a negative review because I know the stress staff are under being a barista myself. But at the till I asked for sugar free syrup which I need for health reasons and was giving the normal syrup. He may be new so hopefully some explaining about the importance of getting peoples orders right can stop this happening to someone else who might not notice that their order was taken wrong. My girlfriend also asked for mallows with her mocha and was given cream instead. I scanned my privilege card and didn’t get my staff discount even after I explained that it was a privilege card I was scanning. Apart from all the misunderstanding at the till the staff are genuinely very friendly, especially the lass that made the coffees. I wish I’d caught her name but hopefully she’ll know she was on coffee this afternoon and get the credit for...

The female staff member who made the coffees was not listening to a word the male staff member who took my order was saying. He said it was a small latte and a large latte both with the character roast to take away she then proceeded to make the large latte in a cup for sitting in then asked me if I was sitting in and I said no it was takeaway which the man who took my order had already told her she was rude to him, picked up the coffee in the cup and poured it into a takeaway cup. Neither coffee was made with the character roast (which costs extra) I am visually impaired and use a white cane and when I asked for a cup holder you would think I had asked her for the world.
