Greggs — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

This Gregg's in question is actually annoying. All good until delivery service started. Staff shortages, are to blame "APPARENTLY " for shop closing at 15:40 every day. I think it's to do with lack of food. Just eat , deliveroo and whom ever else delivers now. Is taking over the shop. Staff are more in demand than ever. Some staff are rooted in the place , but some faces come and go. Good to see men behind the counter. Really would like to see Gregg's either see the potential of expanding the shop. To cover counter staff and the delivery service at same time. Or really , the sign on the door should say " shortages of food , due to lazy people ordering online " . Staff shortages, please. During lunchtime its busy for sure. And that's when fresh sandwiches and pasta dishes etc all but few disappear from shelves. So maybe Its all due to actual shortages on everything. As we see with more shops. And Their, empty shelves. Just local people kinda depend on this local delight. now u got to be there early or lose out. Or spend more on scotmids...

Anger Problems

Most hostile Gregg's staff I have ever encountered. While leaving the store the employees began loudly verbally berating me for taking "too long" to choose what to purchase (7 seconds, and no one else was in the store...), all while I was still within earshot. From the other reviews on here I can see as well that this type of behavior isn't an isolated incident.

If one of the simplest point-of-sale social interactions with another human is enough to send you into a rage-induced temper tantrum, you should strongly consider a different...

I was told to take my assistance dog outside. They didn't even know he was there at first until I spoke to him, he sat nicely by my feet. When I said 'he's an assistance dog' I was told 'only seeing dogs allowed' which I informed her is illegal, they have to accept all task-trained assistance dogs, she insisted its not illegal. I've sent in a complaint and thankfully they're going to look into it. They did agree to serve me 'this time' but it was so humiliating and also I'm never going to go in without my assistance...
