“Fantastic fish, but I was treated like an uninvited intruder.”

I visited this place today after reading glowing reviews online. I ordered fish and scallops from the counter — not knowing whether it was eat-in or takeaway. No one clarified, no signs indicated either way.

It was windy outside, so I came back in and politely sat at an empty table. The restaurant was half empty. Within minutes of taking my first bite, a waitress approached and asked if I had a reservation. I explained that I didn’t know one was needed. She immediately brought over another staff member who told me I could be charged again or moved — mid-meal.

They didn’t try to resolve, explain, or show courtesy. No kindness, no flexibility. Just rules. Cold, abrupt, robotic enforcement. It wasn’t about the table — it was about how they made me feel. Like I didn’t belong.

I was a solo guest, quietly eating. I offered to pay extra. I was still told I couldn’t stay — even though they had open tables and plenty of time before their next service. I left my food on the counter and walked out — not because I wanted to, but because I was made to feel unwelcome.

I’ve dined across the UK and Europe — from street vendors to Michelin-star restaurants. This is the first time I felt humiliated for not knowing an unspoken house rule.

Food? Outstanding. Service? Cold, discouraging, and unforgiving. If you can’t extend basic hospitality to a guest who makes an honest mistake, you don’t deserve to be in hospitality at all.

📊 Summary Rating:

Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service: ⭐☆☆☆☆ Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Imagine taking your first bite, alone, only to be confronted and made to feel like you’ve violated sacred ground — with no visible signage or guidance whatsoever

No matter how good the fish is — no one deserves to be treated like a problem just for sitting at the...

Today uber order.

About food:

Nice eco packaging: paper boxes, paper bags, just plastic cups for sauces.

Portions quite big for that money and really tasty. However, sauces need more attention. Tatar Sauce tased more like just Mayo, so they should to add more caper and sour cucumbers to balance the flavour. Also Vietnam sauce was good but you definitely need better soy sauce as the sauce living unpleasant aftertaste.

About price: Uber giving you time to time special discounts however now you must pay service fee (for what really?!) and delivery fee. In my case almost £5. Hence I feel that the whole promotion thing is a big marketing ‘misunderstanding’ as on the menu my food cost £12 +£12 £1.5 so in total 25,5 and with 25% discount form uber I paid £23 as some money form delivery and service fee was deducted. Hence, overall I would prefer to see the normal price in the menu and then find out if I want to order something rather that creating hidden fees. Or alternatively you can collect your food (but still need to pay for service fee) or order something form just eat as you pay only for delivery (but not always) which I finding more fare. Overall, ordering something online in some platforms might cost you significantly more than in other services.

Foodwise highly recommended to try Delivery wise — don’t bother, just collect or try with other than uber east...

A Warning to Anyone Considering This Restaurant!

This was my third (and definitely last) visit to this so-called restaurant – and once again I left deeply disappointed. The food is shockingly tasteless, poorly prepared, and ridiculously overpriced. The portions are small, unsatisfying, and not even close to matching the cost.

The staff is unprofessional, rude, and completely uninterested in keeping customers happy. We tried to sit at a table, but the person in charge of seating dismissed us in an extremely unfriendly tone. No explanation, no apology – just a cold “No tables, you have to leave.”

As for hygiene – it’s non-existent. I personally witnessed a kitchen assistant grab bites with his bare hands and transfer them directly from the cooking tray to a customer’s plate. No gloves, no tongs – nothing. It was not just unsanitary, it was dangerous.

And don’t expect price transparency. There are different prices for dine-in and takeaway, and nothing is clearly displayed. You’ll just get hit with a surprise bill that makes no sense for the quality of what you’ve received.

Everything was bland, badly presented, and shockingly expensive. If you value good food, cleanliness, and decent service – do yourself a favour and stay far away...
