Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Colchester

Recently went here whilst waiting for works van to be repaired. A quick background of my work involves servicing and maintenance of coffee machines. I was shocked to see how filthy their barista machine was!! The whole machine was covered with splash marks, overspills..and the worst i saw...the store manager serving me the hot drink, pulled out a draw full of dirty milk canisters (used for steaming/frothing), which one of them she used had dirty milk marks and left over milk inside. She walked to the sink, whilst smelling the contents along the way, poured the milk out..but did not even wash the pot!? This experience showed me ultimately that this store manager doesn't care about cleanliness and the safety of her customers, which is ashame as I've been to other Costa shops where they have been maintained well throughout the day. Think she needs a visit by the company to give her a push in the right direction again before any...

There are 2 Costa shops at Tollgate Colchester....I have always sat in the drive through one and found service and coffee very good.....Then about 3 months ago there was a change in staff...they are rude. ..I like a dry cappuccino and they are obviously not trained properly because 8 times out of ten I have to take my coffee back so they can make me a proper dry cappuccino.....They slam the coffee cup down and give me filthy looks...it has upset me very much so u am now using the other Costa shop where the staff are very polite and seem to have been trained properly....I am not the only person who has suffered the rudeness of staff at the drive through Costa and I think you should give them proper training in customer service and politeness....Also Costa drive through start cordoning off areas of shop at 5 pm...that's 2 hours before closing so you cannot choose where you...

I had a spare couple of hours to spend and thought me and my mum would have Lovely little snacks/meal with some drinks and the drinks and snacks where really nice then when my mum went to the bathroom there was no toilet paper and the rude and Arrogant staff member refused to put some in then proceeded to go to the staff toilet and ignore us so we asked her name and she replied with “none of your business” then she took her name badge off and started to chat about us to her collage who wasn’t listening and was busy actually working . Not sure of the rude girls name but she had long black hair with a full face of makeup on and because of her I will never be returning to...
