Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Colchester

PLEASE PLEASE DONT ORDER ANYTHING FROM HERE my mum, nan and I came here earlier today to grab drinks for a short road trip we had planned (2 americanos and 1 peach ice tea) less than an hour later my grandparents and mum complained about the taste saying how it tasted off and burnt, i had a sip myself and in the weirdest way did taste like burnt coffee beans? the worst tho was an hour later on the road when my mum started feeling nausious and proceeded to throw up multiple times whilst driving. we are safe and my mum is doing okay now but genuienly I was so scared for my mum's safety. my grandfather also complained about having an upset stomach after finishing his drink but as far as I'm aware nothing extreme has happened. we KNOW my mum was sick from this coffee because we had breakfast earlier and water from home and we were both completely okay then. besides that there was also messy tables: coming from someone who worked at starbucks, I know how busy these places can be but HYGIENE must be made a main priority than anything else

No smile, no welcome, no customer service skills. Two older female staff who just didn't seem to want to be there. Didn't offer us size options for drinks or if we were take away etc, asked for gluten free options for cakes and the female server unhelpfully just patted a random section in front of her. Awful service. Poor guy making the coffees was working non stop, but also seemed so nervous of getting things wrong that he couldn't stop, but he seemed friendlier. Young girl came on shift drinking her coffee openly in front of everyone and proceeded to have personal chatter with her colleagues where we could all hear! For the price of the coffee, we would've have a warmer welcome at...
