The food was absolutely delicious! HOWEVER... we were given a table at the back of the restaurant and presented with a menu each, those had several pages ripped out or just generally ripped and barely legible. I asked to use the bathroom and was told there.was one cubicle downstairs for women and two upstairs, I went to the downstairs one. It led through one door having a women sign on the door, the next showed a disabled and men and sign. I went in, it was filled with boxes of paperwork, receipts, invoices etc. There was a baby changing table but it was inaccessible due to clutter. The soap dish was broken wish sharp jagged etches. The kitchen which was clearly visible from the restaurant as you are supposed to be able to see people cook was dirty, unorganised and had heaps of food and pans haphazardly stacked. Bottles of confinement were littering the counter. We had a lemonade and a diet coke, both were flat and stale. The chairs were uncomfortable, dirty and ripped in places and looked extremely old and uncared for.
The food was great, everything else was appaling! Even though the food was good I would not go back there and would not recommend it to anyone. Very...
Read moreOrdered last weekend and will be ordering again this weekend! We have had a nightmare since moving to colchester in November in trying to find a decent Chinese takeaway. These chefs really make an effort with the food.. the plain noodles actually have onion in and they gave me extra as requested.. youd be lucky if you found even 1 slice of onion in other Chinese takeaways chow meins round here. Most are too busy to even care what they're producing. My boyfriend loved the kung po as there were actual cashews and vegetables in it. The chips were proper Chinese chips, lovely! Good curry sauce too! My king prawn spring onion and ginger was delicious , my only criticism would be that fried prawns instead of boiled (I think) would be tastier. Everything arrived really fresh and quickly! This will definitely be our Chinese takeaway of choice going...
