This restaurant is a little gem and I'm surprised it's not raved about in Colchester! I've been 2 times now and it's already one of my faves and highly recommended. The food is fresh and quick, service is good and the best bit, you can bring your own bottle of wine. This cuts the bill by a lot since normally the drinks tend to stack up and so does the bill. We went on a Friday, and it was just us and another table so quiet, but not a bad thing for us as service was prompt. We got the sharing platter with fried sea bass, chicken, spring rolls, prawns, crispy pork, rice and mango and 3 dipping sauces. This came out as a huge portion and we had the choice to use gloves which was the right thing to do to get stuck in! We're total suckers for crispy pork which is how we found this restaurant. And it definitely didn't disappoint. All of it tasted great and the flavours were fab. We were so stuffed but we had to get the purple ube cheesecake to takeaway. I love trying new things and so glad we got this. It was perfectly balanced with sweetness and super creamy. It came with 2 caramels as well. I would definitely get this again. The food is so good too, clearly high quality ingredients. The flavours are completely different to anything I have ever tried, and delicious! I am so sick of eating the same cuisine whenever we go out, it was fantastic to try something different and delicious. The beef I really liked, plenty of it and the veg with it was yummy. The sauce was so different and delicious.
The drinks are so yummy too, I chose lychee and my friend mango cooler that had little pieces of jelly in, so good! Even the water was lovingly presented too in wooden glasses.
The service was fast and the waitresses polite and quick. This really is a little gem of a find and I...
Read moreFirst time eating here and we will definitely be back. The food was authentic and delicious, I had chicken adobo with rice and my wife had pork sisig. Also we shared a mini starter set. For the price the portion size was very generous. The chicken was juicy and the adobo sauce was very flavoursome. The pork sisig was lovely and had a good portion of meat. To finish off I had the homemade Ube cheesecake on recommendation from the lovely owner Bien. This was one of the best desserts I have ever had; will be hard to order something different next time. To drink we had a mocha with a shot of Ube syrup and a calamansi juice/lemonade. If you haven’t been here before definitely check it out you won’t be...
