I recently visited Wagamama and had a fantastic experience that I felt was worth sharing. Known for its Japanese-inspired cuisine, Wagamama definitely lives up to its reputation. Here’s a rundown of my visit:
Food Quality
The menu at Wagamama is impressive, offering a wide variety of dishes that cater to different tastes and dietary needs. I tried several items, and each was delicious:
Chicken Katsu Curry: This was my personal favorite. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and the curry sauce was rich and flavorful. It’s no wonder this dish is so popular! Yasai Yaki Soba: As a fan of noodles, I found this stir-fry to be delightful. It was loaded with colorful vegetables and tossed in a savory sauce that really hit the spot. Prawn Firecracker: If you enjoy a bit of spice, this dish is for you. The prawns were juicy, and the chili sauce had just the right amount of heat. For dessert, I tried the chocolate cake, which was indulgent and satisfying. The fresh juices and teas on offer provided a refreshing complement to the meal.
Staff and Service
The staff at Wagamama were a highlight of the visit. From the moment I walked in, they were welcoming and attentive. They were knowledgeable about the menu and eager to offer recommendations, which was great for someone like me who wanted to try a variety of dishes.
I also appreciated their efforts to accommodate dietary needs. The staff were proactive in asking about any allergies or restrictions, making sure that everyone in our group could enjoy their meal without any concerns.
Atmosphere
The atmosphere at Wagamama is casual yet inviting. The restaurant has a minimalist decor with communal tables that encourage a social dining experience. It was lively but not overwhelming, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal with friends.
Conclusion
Overall, my experience at Wagamama was excellent. The food was top-notch, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed meal. Whether you're a fan of Japanese cuisine or just looking to try something new, I highly recommend giving Wagamama a visit. It’s a great place for a satisfying and enjoyable...
Read moreVery, very slow service unfortunately. After our starter we waited more than 15 minutes for dishes to be cleared and weren't asked if we wanted mains or dessert. We had to track down a server to order mains. Green tea took 15 more minutes to arrive after reminding a server then 4 arrived as it was put through twice. A salad was ordered that I've now been waiting more than 20 minutes for (and counting) after having to correct an error. Very VERY disappointed in this branch after having amazing service at others. If my salad isn't here in the next 5 minutes, I'm leaving and seeking a refund. Abysmal.
Edit: well, the salad arrived but I very quickly realised that some of the salad leaves were rotten leading me to suspect they had come from a contaminated batch. I refused to eat it and also refused an offer of vouchers as we had already paid and a scathing review, in my opinion, holds more weight than a pay off.
There was one member of staff worth their weight in gold who couldn't be more apologetic but his name doesn't deserve to be attached to a bad review. So very dissapointed in this branch, slow service, no chance of upselling, huge queue waiting for tables and blocking exit. I cant help feeling if they tried a little harder to clear tables and ask customers if there's anything else they require they could turn tables far quicker than 90mins. Add to that the rotten salad and you guys have had a truly bad day. Hopefully you can do better in future and stop mistakes leaving...

We sat down both took turns going to the toilet while we waited and watched other tables sat and had orders taken. Started to place our order but because I'm allergic to egg I was informed a manager had to deal with our order. The manager came took the rest of our order. A few mins after our complete order (with the manager) was taken, my partner received her mains. 15mins later and after asking staff where our drinks were, they arrived. Then my main arrived (very bland), my partners meal was cold by then also. Half way through my main we received our starters, which I sent back as was pointless eating a sharing starter after your mains. Was only when we asked for the bill that we were asked how the meal was...
