I would say the first thing that set me off here was charging £3.80 for a regular can of coke. If you are going to charge that price, then do not hand a customer an empty glass and a regular can of coke. It's lazy and disrespectful.
The only way you can justify those prices is by offering good service but to simply plonk an unopened can of coke and empty glass on the table and say ty that will be £3.80 takes the cake. Now, after that, the absolute ridiculous slithers of meat being cut and served are shocking.
I mean at one point they came up cut me off a slither which not exaggerating was two very small bites, in fact by the time he had given the next 2 people at my table a slither I had eaten mine and sat there with an empty plate which leads me on to my next point.
There were times when no one came up to replenish our table for a quarter of an hour.
Another instance i was cut off some pork and at first wondered why it was more generous than before till I noticed it was nearly an inch thick section of pure fat with a little bit of pork on the side 😳
Honestly, you are much better off saving a fortune and going to Toby Carvery.
Cherry on the top was I was up no less than 6 times throughout the night, rushing to the toilet followed by multiple times in the morning.
My body did not return to normal until lunchtime the next day
Don't get me wrong, some of the staff were friendly enough, but with everything else, it didn't do anything to make the meal more enjoyable.
I give one star 🌟 because I am quite content to make that visit a one-time event.
If you are going to charge those prices, you need to make sure customers are getting value for money.
By that, I mean service, presentation, and effort. I can get the exact same service for half the price at any of the chain restaurants, especially in this current...
Read moreI visited with my wife on valentines day about two in the afternoon. We were greeted nicely by a waitress and the menu offers explained, They were running a endless proseco offer but sadly we were driving. The standard lunch options are £6.50 for the salad bar and hot dishes from the trays included pork in gravy, spicy sausage, lasagne and others you could happily have a good dinner and it is unlimited. For £10.00 you get all the above plus they bring a selection of meats including chicken, Pork, sausage and steak. I expected that you wouldn't be offered meat that often but how wrong I was, the young man never stoped walking around and I think he visited at least twenty times. The great thing is all the hot food came out pipping hot and all the salads were nicely chilled. If you have the meat option they give you a beer mat that says yes please on one side and no thanks on the other to tell the waiter if to come or not. Extras we had were one Brama beer and one soft drink which reminded my wife of home. To finnish one desert that was delicious and they have several to try. One of the nice touches is they encourage you to have more, in fact the manager turned my mat to yes please while my wife had desert. Great service and very friendly. Prices vary dependent on time and day so check out the website. Service charge automatically added but I would have happily tipped them anyway. Total bill 35.00 inclusive. Nice music not to high. One step to get in but disabled toilets on the same level I think they could bring a chair via the fire door. Nice clean toilets downstairs. Give it a go and post your review I loved it and you will know dear reader I am a...
Read moreWent there with family for a farewell dinner of a good friend that was travelling the next day to return to her country.
The welcoming was very warm and friendly and, since it wasn't our first time in Preto, we already knew what we wanted, so we went straight to the main attraction of the house - an "all you can eat" menu, which includes the salad bar, the self catering warm dishes and, of course, the irresistible (and seemingly endless) carousel of grilled meats that is constantly hovering over your table due to the "passadores" (basically the guys that will be responsible for making you feel like you've been eating for a week without stopping, even though you'd only been there for about an hour or so!).
Well, I can't speak good enough about the quality of the meats and the amazing flavours that are on offer at the self catering area, so I advise anyone to go and try, without reserves. It will be a great experience and you'll be amazed with how much food your body can actually bear ( I know I was!), especially because it seems an impossible feat to send away any of that incredibly looking food without trying at least one piece of it!
The staff is so friendly and polite that you will feel as comfortable as at your own place.
All in all, a great experience to be shared with family and friends. One that you won't...
