Marlborough Arms — Restaurant in Cotswold District

After a lovely day out in the Cotswolds we came across The Marlbough Arms . We didnt know what to expect due to the Covid pandemic just coming out of lockdown. After a long walk we needed food and drink. What a suprise to find a nice friendly, clean and tidy pub in the middle of the Cotswolds.The sign outside said Home made pizzas. (You always see these signs and are disappionted by the pizza when you get it) Not the case at the Marlborough Arms. THE PIZZAS WERE TO DIE FOR !!!! Perfectly cooked and presented just how we wanted. They gave us a box to take the unfinished pizza home and i'm looking forward to tucking into it again later today. Arrived at around 1pm for a spot of lunch and was told by the landlord that they didn't serve food till 3pm. But if we were willing to wait an hour for the pizza oven to heat up we could order something. So we decided to order 2 pizza and take a walk around the town for an hour and come back. Both me and my wife forgot both our wallet and purse. But was told that was fine we could pay when we got back. What a delight this pub is! Timbo (as on his t-shirt) and the staff were so friendly and welcoming as we entered, as were the other customers who engaged with us strangers, making us feel so at home. The pub only serves pizzas, but this is a clever focus, as they are so good. The choices are extensive, £13.50 to £14.50, extra toppings £1.20, which honestly you do not need.
