pleasant evening last night at 3 five 1 restaurant Stoney Station Road Hospitality and service was exemplary. After being seated instantly the staff were very accommodating and moved us to a larger and more discrete table. The staff throughout were extremely professional and hospitable - therefore this gets a 9.8/10. Their 'largest' 'tawa' that we ordered, arrived in no time. We also ordered a kids chicken nuggets and fries with drinks all round. The nuggets were freshly made and so were the fries. However, the oil that they were fried in was 'well used' to say the least and this was reflected in the taste 3.5/10. The tawa had the same fries but let's dwell on the positives first. The meat sheesh kebabs were chunky and juicy and had the perfect combination of spices 9/10. The chicken sheesh were nice too but lacked the rich flavour and spice that the meat one had 7/10. The chicken tikka was a pathetic portion size and did not reflect the "extra large tawa" the flavour was average and a bit chewy 2/10 The chicken wings were rather tasty but the tandoori colouring was a bit OTT. 6/10 The 'mutton' chops were a decent size but the tough texture and the almost impossible chewing that followed, completely ruined this 1/10 The chicken curry was delightful and the spices and flavours were simply a welcome to the palate 8/10. The meat curry was also delicious. The meat was tender and very flavoursome and the spices were spot on 8.5/10. The accompanying naan and roti was very satisfying. The naan was fresh n fluffy and the roti was tasty too albeit a bit on the thin side 8/10. Overall the food gets a 5/10 and the £75 cost of the tawa alone was not value for money (in my humble opinion) given the quantity and overall taste. @3five1restaurant #halal #desi #tawa #restaurant #halalcuisine #halalrestaurant #tawarestaurant #halaldesifood #coventry #food #cuisine #authentic

Visited this restaurant during the “eat out to help out” days. On walking into the restaurant they told us that we would have to go back as they weren’t taking any walk ins even though their phone wasn’t being answered by anyone for a few days for a reservation. After sitting for some time the manager said that he would seat us and that we would have to leave at a certain time which was fine for us. He seated us in a nice private area, all the booths towards the back have curtains with them and are very private and you feel comfortable. The food arrived within a few minutes, service was fantastic! We ordered the traditional tawa and the peri peri tawa and the kids chicken strips and chips. Drinks included mocktails, I chose a pina colada which was very nice. Food tasted amazing, excellent flavours and was sizzling when they bought it out. All food was fresh and the karahis were tasty and cooked perfectly. The cookie doughs were also very nice. Total came up to around £34 with the discount, great value for money. Overall a great experience and would visit again.

Disappointing service overshadowed good food at 3 Five 1 Our visit to this restaurant unfortunately started off on a disappointing note. The wait staff was unprofessional, engaging in playful behavior and even minor tussles amongst themselves. This initial impression, coupled with being ignored despite arriving as paying customers, was not a welcoming one. After a 20-minute wait despite visibly empty tables, we were finally seated. Thankfully, the food itself was redeeming. The portions were generous and the dishes we ordered were well-prepared and flavorful. However, the service issues continued: when we inquired about naan bread, the waiter disappeared to check and was later found enjoying his own meal at another table. While the quality of the food was certainly a positive, the unprofessional and inattentive service significantly detracted from the overall experience. It's a shame that a good restaurant appears to be let down by inexperienced staff. There’s a lot of parking places available in here.

Doesn't even Deserve 1 star, maybe the food was okay, but very poor customer service, we had booked a table for my freinds Graduation and they ended up ruining our whole evening. We had bought a cake with us, which a waiter took from me as we entered. There was quite a loud table next to us maybe of young students and they were celebrating a birthday, which the waiters already had bought a Birthday cake out for, the next thing you know they're bringing out another cake, for my freind to only realise that it was our cake.... First thing the cake was clearly not a birthday cake it's was made by me it had a little graduation hat a doctor's stethoscope and it even said congrats on it, they even lit the sparklers whilst walking out singing happy birthday again to this other table. Well i got up as we heard someone say who's saleha that's when we realised its our cake, we even heard comments from that table of a girl saying she thinks she spat on the cake. I spent 2 nights baking the cake and designing. On top of that the box had our table number on it and we didn't even ask for the cake yet it doesn't make sense. Well I got up to say I think its our cake, and it was the most awkwardest ever the student just laughed at my face and the waiter says "OH" there was no apology. And then I sat back down and none of the waiters came back to us to even apologise it was more like they were staying away, we actually had to get up and go to them and as we were walking it was like the waiters were walking away so they don't have to deal with their mistake. At the end they gave us 10% off but that was after we went to them and complained and they told us to return again for a free meal, well I dont want to return to somewhere that ruined a big night for us, and they couldn't even own their mistake. Their excuse was his a new waiter, like that isn't one of the oldest excuses in the book, they sent a message from the manager of an apology but the manager couldn't come out and say it himself, well we left after that because we didn't feel comfortable anymore on top of that the cake I made is going in the bin because we dont know who touched it and spat on it like they said. As we walked out the waiters were by the front door acting like they're telling off the other waiter that took the cake out in the first place, to show us they're dealing with him. When all that could have made the night better was them owning their mistake and not staying away from us, thats what you call bad customer care and it really did make us feel uncomfortable. I just want to mention again the cake was obviously not a birthday cake, it was custom made had doctors item and a graduate hat...

Don't judge by the reviews...

Last night my wife and I with our 7 month baby decided to try this place out. We arrived approximately 7.30pm. There is a Dark Unlit Car Park at the rear of this building which we parked in and found an Unlit Rear Entrance to come in by.

There were 2 x Staff members who were standing by the closed door looking out towards us but never had the courtesy to let us in although they clearly saw me struggling with keeping the door open whilst trying to get the Push Chair through the door...

We had to make our own way to the counter and asked for a table to accommodate my wife and I including our little one who was tucked up in his Push Chair Cot.

Although the premises was fairly empty and we could see so many tables empty, one of the staff guided us to a Table for Two and asked us to leave the likkle ones push chair in an empty area... meaning we had to take him out of his comfortable chair and try to sit in a TIGHT TABLE for Two.

We waited for atleast 8 - 10 mins to place an order although there was clearly 3 - 4 staff just chatting away but not one of them came to us until I actually called one waiter over.

I Placed an order for 1 x Mango Lasi, Medium Tawa Platter and a Chilli Cheese Naan (Bearing in mind there are No Starters).

Our food was served on a Tawa Type Hot Plate which was hot and that's about it... The appearance of the Platter was poor, so much food all squashed up placed on a small Tawa for starts. The fries were hard, Lamb Chops and Seekh Kebabs were dry.

The Chicken Handi tasted really sweet although we asked for a medium hot Karahi so we were disappointed along with the dry so called chilli cheese naan with no cheese.

Oh by the way... No Mango Lasi until I had to call the waiter back to remind him. The Mango Lasi was way too thick so we had the bottle of water instead.

Honestly I hardly leave any negative comments but if your looking to dine out in a Clean, Polite and Customer Friendly place, this is not for you especially if you have a little baby in a Pram or Push Chair.

2/10 for quality of Food so if you are a good cook at home and want to eat quality cooked food... head over to Anokis in Derby on the A38 or Tipu Sultan in Birmingham...
