My wife and I visited Miller and Carter for the first time this evening, and we were thoroughly impressed by the entire experience from start to finish. Upon entering, we were greeted with a warm welcome that instantly made us feel at ease. The service throughout the evening was exceptional, with all of the staff being friendly, polite, and incredibly attentive. It was clear that they genuinely cared about making our dining experience memorable. The food was simply outstanding. Every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour. The steak, in particular, was a highlight—it was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. It’s clear that Miller and Carter take great pride in their food, and it really shows. Although it is a steakhouse, the restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Beyond the steaks, there are delicious options like burgers, ribs, and other grilled specialities, catering to a range of tastes. The extensive selection of beers and wines also means there’s something for everyone, whether you're looking for the perfect pairing with your meal or simply a drink to enjoy on its own. We were seated in a private, cosy booth near the open kitchen, which added to the intimate and comfortable feel of the evening. The atmosphere struck a perfect balance between formal and relaxed, making it an ideal spot for both special occasions and casual dinners. Overall, I highly recommend Miller and Carter to anyone looking for a unique and delightful restaurant experience. Whether you’re a steak lover or just looking to enjoy a fantastic meal in a welcoming setting, this place has something to offer everyone. We will definitely be returning.

We were 2 couples on a weekend away during the floods. We booked here for Sunday 22nd October as it was for my birthday. We were blown away by the excellent service from our server Kirsty. Nothing too much trouble,she was interested in us as a group, she let us settle before asking if she could get our drinks and not pushy about us perusing the menu for awhile. We all had sirloin steaks with the lettuce wedges with either chips or seasoned fries. All steaks cooked to perfection couldn't fault them. We were very satisfied with our meals,so we ordered puds, one of us had the chocolate brownie with ice cream, I had the creme brulee,my husband had the sundae and Kirsty thought our friend was joking but he ordered a starter for his pud it was fried calamari 🤣 our servers face was a picture 🤣. Great food, excellent service . We will come back when we visit Coventry again .

We came here on Saturday around 9:20 pm . When seated we was pretty laid back and comfortable as we have been miller and carter before . We asked for the sharing platter which was a treat as it was my boyfriends birthday , we asked for it to medium . It finally came out the lettuce didn’t come as the starter which usually does it came with the main which I was a little disheartened about then the main came it wasn’t medium this was very rare and I did confirm with two staff . I wasn’t happy the manager came over I asked for a fresh one he agreed but nothing really was being said I felt as if I was the one trying to ask what could be done and no one was really keen to help they bought us a top up drink but this came out as half a glass I couldn’t believe my eyes the lady that served us didn’t seem like she wanted to be there . Are food came half hour later it was still in some places a medium rare but my partner ate the bits that was rare which wasn’t fair but I just couldn’t complain any longer I feel the service was terrible as I just wanted to make it special for my partner we have two kids and don’t usually get to do date nights so this should have been special for us but in effect it was a bit of a night mare .

As a regular customer, I enjoy the food and service very much most of the time. However, the steak sometimes does not come as you wish. Most of the time, manager would love to ask the chef redo it after checking it. This Sunday lunch, ordered a 30 day age rib eye as usual, it came as half of the steak with medium cook, but the other half is almost well done, very dry inside the steak. Not to mention it is hard to chew in the month, hard to cut as well. Talk to the manager, who helped me to redo my steak last time a month ago, this time she said it is the way medium should look like. And suggest me to order medium rare next time and refuse to redo. (Maybe because she thinks I am very picky, however I told her every time just based on a very fact is this steak is not okay.) Well, I respect that restaurant can decide how to respond to a customer’s request. But still I believe a good restaurant should treat their customers with trust, if there is something you did not do well, fix it, unless you don’t care at all. At the end, will post the pic, let the audience be the judge. On the third pic, the left two are the part I not happy with, the other half is nicely medium done.

Was served old, black and slimy mushrooms in a curdled sauce. Complained and had to wait for a new starter which took ages and left me eating on my own and rushing as the rest were waiting for mains. I have been in hospital and after returning home decided to address my past visit as I am a regular customer. I was pushed into having a dessert which I clearly did not want, which then took me under the £40 to use my reward voucher which has now subsequently disappeared from my app. The response I got was argumentative, rude and intrusive from Joe West. I was forced to reveal my medical status in response to his withering, degrading, nosey reply which is none of his business. I shall not be returning to this restaurant again because of this man’s terrible customer and will now use hickory smoke house, which is up the road and does excellent steaks and values their customers.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying the three-course lunch at Miller and Carter in Coventry, and I must say, it was absolutely brilliant. I was pleasantly surprised by the great value for money offered. Often with three-course specials, one might expect smaller portions, but this was not the case at all. The portions were generous, and the steak, cooked to perfection, was a true highlight. Our experience was made even better by our waitress, Elysia. She was not only quick and efficient but also extremely polite and pleasant throughout our meal. Hats off to her for providing top-class service that truly elevated our dining experience. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of our visit to Miller and Carter. It's safe to say that I will definitely be returning for another delightful meal in the near future.
