Tavern On The Green — Restaurant in Crawley

I've just witnessed something extremely pathetic in this pub. A pregnant lady with two more little kids ordered food and been waiting for over half an hour for it. Of course the kids were hungry and started moaning and crying, the owner had the cheek to practically ask the young lady to leave the premises as the kids were being noisy and were disturbing the other customers who, guess what, were drinking beer at 2pm and could not be bothered to go outside in the garden despite the nice weather. The owner was completely out of line, not apologetic at all for the delay in serving the food and did not even refund the lady the whole amount she spent cos apparently they had drunk their drinks. A group of 25 of us from our Tai Chi group had a Christmas lunch here on Wednesday 11 December, the food was brilliant, the mains were lovely and hot, the tables were laid really nicely and we had crackers. We all had a really good time and the young lady with glasses and a pony tail, who was busy running around keeping us all happy, was great. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal at a great price!! I personally will definitely be going there...

Friendly place to go, also right next to a park. My 4 year old son told me about this spot about 5 months ago! I have been a few times so still new but every experience has been nice. Good food, good people, garden area opens up to the park so can actually chill outside and watch the kids in the playground.
