Overpriced and got most things on the order wrong, probably due to loud music by the till. Won't be going again. Shame cos the coffee was quite nice.

Responding to Alan on 6.8.18: We came in last Wednesday about 1-1.30pm; my grandmother, myself and my 2 daughters aged 12 and 8yo. We were served at the till by a fair haired lady (approx 25yo) and our food was brought to the table by a boy who didn't seem much older than my elder daughter. Nan ordered prawn mayo sandwich, I ordered cheese sandwich and my daughters ordered ham sandwich and a couple of slices of buttered white bread. All the sandwiches arrived toasted. I sent the cheese sandwich back but Nan and younger daughter had already taken a bite. Only one slice of bread arrived for elder daughter so we asked for another. Whilst I was double-checking prices and descriptions on the menu a slice of brown bread had arrived at the table. I took this back to the till. The staff there apologised and then brought a further 2 slices of buttered white bread to the table. This time the bread was actually buttered to the edges, cut and neatly arranged on the plate. I hope this further information is helpful to you Alan as I like to support local small business. I doubt I'll come back for a proper meal but the coffee...

My partner and I made two visits to the café. The first yesterday and as we were so impressed the second visit was today. We had a superb lunch on both days. Sadly some ingredients weren't available yesterday though the alternatives were very tasty indeed. We each had one of the two "soups of the day" and they were quite excellent. And our mains were both well cooked and tasty. I have taken one star off as access was slightly difficult for us as my partner is a wheelchair user. That and the missing ingredients yesterday (though when we got the salt beef today, it was well worth the wait) was slightly disappointing. However the staff helped us where they could and did their very best to get us seated. The café has a very cosy and friendly feel. Service is efficient, friendly and personal. it almost has the feel of an amateur setup and yet the quality of the food and the little shop with high end delicatessen style foods suggests they very much know what they're doing. If we're ever up that way again, we shall certainly do our...

Worst place I've ever been to, owner was so horrible to me and this black guy, I have dog allergies and was put in a room where dogs don't go ,that's fine, but suddenly loads of dogs came in, had go out, owner said if you don't like it sit outside, he was very angry 😡 and myself and this other guy which was having a bad reaction and I gave him some antihistamines to calm it down, my mates food poached eggs were hard , avercado off smelt bad, oh and £37 for 2 small breakfasts rip off,

Hi , it was few months back , your staff wasn't rude it was yourself to me saying you have dogs and other dogs are free to go anywhere, where the place we were sitting in was dog free, Some people sat down with 4 dogs , All il say is if someone has a serious anaflatic shock like I have in the past ,your have to call an ambulance, my breakfast 🍳 was fine mates eggs were hard ,portion size for that price thought...

I wasn't aware of the Fishery Wharf Cafe until I was invited along by a friend to play at the Open Mic night (which happens on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month). The open mic is hosted by local legend Shane Lamont and is an absolute blast. If you're a musician you need to get on the board before 7pm in order to be certain of getting a place (typically there are 15 - 20 looking to perform). The cafe is a cozy little place by the canal with a lot of outside seating, and inside seating enough for about maybe 40 people. They have a small menu, mostly burger-oriented. There is a small but well stocked bar. The guy who owns the place is friendly and clearly enjoys his work! I visited in winter but would be quite keen to visit during the summer! Look forward to returning!

I recently visited the Fishery Wharf Café with my family, and it was a delightful experience. The café is situated right by the canal, offering a lovely and peaceful atmosphere. We enjoyed coffee and brownies, which were absolutely delicious. They also offer a variety of food options, from hearty breakfasts to light lunches, all made with locally sourced ingredients. The staff were incredibly friendly, adding to the warm and welcoming vibe of the place. Afterward, we took a short walk along the canal and were lucky enough to see boats passing through the locks—a real treat! There is convenient but limited parking available, so it’s worth arriving early. Highly recommend it for a relaxing meal or coffee break, followed by a pleasant stroll by the water!
