Greggs — Restaurant in Dacorum

I don’t know what’s happened to this place but be warned this place is a joke. Expect long queues, staff not caring about customers, the QR scanner not working and no food.

I visited here on an early Saturday morning only to discover there were no sandwiches what so ever (as your see in my picture). The queue was out the door with only 1 staff member working. There was another member of staff who was the supervisor, I think her name was Maxine. She seemed more bothered about hiding out the back then serving people. It’s only when more and more people were turning up she decided to come out and serve. I had read reviews of how bad this place was but didn’t believe it. I can now confirm it’s all true. As mentioned in a few previous reviews there is always an excuse as to why the scanner isn’t working for the app, low and behold once at the till this also happened to me. Save your money and go elsewhere. I don’t usually do reviews no more but had to for this place as it’s not fair for us customers to experience a service like this. I think the workers here give really good customer service. I can’t fault the staff at all. There’s one worker at this branch called Maxine so is so lovely and friendly and goes out of her way to make a regular like me feel welcome into the store. A week ago, she went above and beyond by cooking me some bakes that had run out on the shelf toward the end of the day, but she still cooked them despite that she had other jobs to do and it was so thoughtful and I really appreciated it. Yo yo what’s up. Y’all need to start toasting the sandwiches from the time their expensive. cold food? for the love of god.
