Not welcoming for mothers with children. I arrived with my sister and we both had our children with us (aged 3 months, 7 months and 3 years). We were told we'd have to take our prams down a flight of hard stairs without any offer of help. This would have proven tricky trying to carry prams down stairs whilst holding babies!
As that wasn't possible we moved two tables together to make space for the prams and so we could sit together. A member of staff then came over to ask if he could move us somewhere else because they are expecting their lunch rush! I presume he didn't think we were there to order food a drinks?! Shame because we would have spent a decent amount of money if we hadn't left being...
   Read moreA very disappointing afternoon tea. My two friends took me to the churchyard tea rooms today for a treat. It was the worst afternoon tea I have ever had. A few white bread sandwich fingers. Ham, cheese and pickle and coronation chicken. The cheese had no flavour and was just sliced not grated. The cakes were shop brought not home made. We also had bread pudding that was stale. Never had bread pudding on afternoon tea before. There were three of us. We had 2 tiny scones each that were not fresh.
