So I came here on the off chance today, as after hearing such good things about the food I thought you would need to have booked but got lucky today, thankfully.

The food was absolutely delicious, especially the tempura prawns. The prawns were huge and cooked lovely. The roast was a generous size and also cooked very well, and to top it all off desert was delicious too. I was very impressed, all this gorgeous food and only for £16 this is amazing! Service was great and the atmosphere was friendly and the host Angie was lovely very welcoming. I will definitely be going back again.

I wish I'd realised sooner that we have such a gem of a pub right next door! Booked in for a Sunday roast for my partners birthday. Food was absolutely wonderful, all freshly made and full of flavour, not too expensive either. We were told there would be a wee wait as they were very busy but everything came in good time. Most of the service was really great, although you could tell some of the staff were feeling the pressure and seemed quite stressed, left us hanging for a drinks order so ended up just leaving it but let's face it, we'd all be stressed having to work a busy Sunday in these crazy times! We enjoyed an amazing 3-course Sunday lunch there last weekend. Angie, the landlady and her lovely kitchen staff serve beautiful home cooked food which NEVER fails to disappoint! 3 courses cost just £16.50 and worth every penny. The pub itself is fairly small so advisable to book and she has several sittings to choose from. The garden outside is just beautifully kept, and full of colour at this time of the year.
