poppadom — Restaurant in Doncaster

Ordered via just eat for the first time. Recommended by a family member. The chicken korma was delicious, thick sauce that doesn't split and isn't watery. Chicken cooked lovely too. Rice spot on. My other half really enjoyed his onion baji.

I ordered a prawn puree - which the sauce and bread were fine, however the prawns had the strong fishy taste when seafood has been frozen. I don't believe they were cooked fresh.

However, this has been the first Indian I've came across in months that has cooked a peshwari perfectly (not burnt) so 10/10 for that.

Overall, for my first time ordering from here, having tried most of the Indians in my local area and surrounding villages, I will definitely order again and would recommend. If the prawns tasted fresh, it would easily...

Food was good, can see into the kitchen and it all appears clean but the staff were pretty disorganised and our order took a long time, despite having been given a set time from Poppadom on the Just Eat confirmation, we were in there for 20 minutes longer waiting for our food! Generally they need to make better use of the people they have as although there were lots of orders on, there seemed to be more people milling around doing nothing than there were actually cooking or serving at the counter. Will still use them again as they're the only Indian we've found in Doncaster where the dishes taste different to each other and actually of what they say in the descriptions, but will probably not believe the time they give us to go...

I’m not entirely sure if these are the normal flavours of a chicken korma in the uk, but goodness me was is SO SO SO sweet, may aswell eat your rice with ice cream, genuinely inedible. Absolutely no other flavours other than sugar, just straight sugar. Again maybe this is the norm but i’ve had a sainsburys chicken korma ready meal that i actually like and wish i got instead. had to order something else after already spending £20.
