Firstly, let’s be clear, I’m married to a Mediterranean so I’ve had plenty of Authentic cuisine.
The venue is well- presented, if a little polished and a little too perfect. There was no wudu vessel in the toilet but given the location, I guess that seems appropriate.
The service was pleasant and attentive but I do feel the staff member would benefit from a little more confidence and volume. He did a great job after all.
We ordered savoury lamb mince and moussaka. He did warn me that it was more of a Middle Eastern moussaka than Mediterranean and might not be what I’m used to. (He told me it was vegan, but I was ok with that).
My moussaka did taste nice. The texture and contents did disappoint however. It’s like a tin of tomatoes with a few chunks of aubergine and red pepper in. I also had the smallest portion of rice and a teeny dash of cabbage.
The rice was clearly reheated looking at the texture. Hubby thought it was microwave rice. It tasted good though. The portion was on the small side and for £15 I expected more.
Hubbies savoury rice was ok. Not overly flavoured but again, probably made to suit local clientèle. It was £18 and left a hungry gap in hubsters belly.
A big thumbs up for the Palestine friendly cola which was delicious!
I’m still interested to try other dishes and see if they excel in a particular item.
I’d have liked to see the environment take on a rustic feel and be a little less polished, larger portions and bouncier staff. I may visit again.
The hand cut chips were delicious and made the till ping to the tune of £4.50!
For a little more you can get a tapas unlimited buffet at El Toro across the way. Look at your local...

Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at this amazing Mediterranean restaurant, and it was truly a fantastic experience! I ordered the lamb biryani, which was incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked, while my mum had the mfarakeh chicken— which she also loved. We finished our meal with an Arabic tea pot and baklava, both of which were the perfect ending to a wonderful meal, perfect portion sizes also.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were exceptional. They accommodated our group with ease, making sure everyone was comfortable and well taken care of. Every staff member we interacted with was polite, friendly, and attentive.
This is easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I’ll definitely be back soon to try more of their amazing menu....
