Shipway's at the Lodge — Restaurant in Dudley

absolutley outstanding vencue had my sisters wedding reception there last night and it was a exceptional service staff were kind courteous and went to great lengths to make sure we was well looked after, checking on us reguarly to make sure we had everything we need, making sure our needs were met and making any arangements we may have needed

things of note was firstly the gentleman working there was exceptional he memoriesed eemingly everyones name in the party and checked in on us to make sure everything was going great and pre empted most of our needs before even we knew them

secondly was how the staff went above and beyond for my nephew who has developmental and behavioral issues they made sure he was happy and content and did everything to make sure he had a good time from bringing him a cheese sandwhich (he adores scheese sandwhiches) to keeping a eye on him from time to time and making adjustments to the room to ensure he was safe and content

not the staffs fault AT ALL there was a situation where my niece clumsily bumped into a table and the only reason i bring this up is because the staff once again were AMASING

they sat with my niece and gave her a little first aid whilst calming her down whilst the rest of the staff worked with my sister to help clean out a few spots of blood my nieces left on her wedding dress

i almost cannot put into words just how much the staff really made our night and we want them to know how greatfull we are for everything...

What a lovely meal we all had at Shipways the Lodge yesterday lunchtime . ( Tuesday 12th of December 2023. We took 31 of our club members there, for their Christmas 🎄 lunch, a three course meal. All our members, including ourselves, really enjoyed the excellent 3 course meal we all had. Everything was perfect 👌 The atmosphere was buzzing with people enjoying being there, the staff were absolutely brilliant 👏 😀 very welcoming, and very helpful, especially to the people who needed help carrying their food back to there table's. The manager was great he even took some photos of us all . What an excellent place Shipways the Lodge is in Dudley. We would definitely recommend everyone to go there for great food and excellent service. Thank you to the manager and all his staff , including the chef and all the kitchen staff, For lovely food and looking after us all so well. We will be back again soon. We had a work planning meeting at this venue last night. Probably about 35 of us ate there and we were treated to what I can only describe as the most stupendous carvery i have ever eaten. I had beef and pork and the meat melted, turkey available too, cheesy mash, scrumptous roasties, yorkshire pudding, carrots,sweetcorn, garden peas and cabbage with english mustard, apple sauce and cranberry . It was marvelous and considering how many there were of us it was piping hot. An excellent way to end the evening. And for the serious eaters amongst us a bevvy of puddings both hot and cold to follow. I give it a 5 star rating to be complimented by the really friendly and only too happy staff who looked after us. Well done Shipways at The Lodge ....
