Nice local pub with friendly staff / customers, fresh cobs and a decent pint of black country lager 😍

A refurb is long overdue and Holden's need to spend on this place as it could be their crown jewel 💎.....beer garden benches are falling apart and conservatory is on its last legs also. If the pub had some money spent on it like the old mill (another Holden's pub) then this could be a gold mine. P.s needs a new pool table and...

Here for a private function in the pub conservatory. Ale drinkers are catered for well with the full range of Holden's beers on cask as you might expect but also with 4 well chosen guest ales. Cosy bar with a modern twist, outside seating, seperate room with a pool table. There were cobs on the bar but we had a buffet to get stuck in to. Decent Black...

It totally looks the part. Great range of traditional beers that sadly are worse for wear due to heat. I can taste a really good mild beneath the heady vinegar notes. 8 degree cellar temperature may work but not when your pipes are 30 degrees plus. Come on! This is a much better brewery than the beer in the adjoining pub did...
