The Wall Heath Tavern — Restaurant in Dudley

Visited yesterday for Sunday Lunch and the 2 starts is NOT a reflection of the food,

After making a reservation a week before we walked in to find the table had a reservation note on it along with menus.

There was no cutlery or salt and peppers on any tables. We Asked to move as we don’t like eating at high table and sitting on stools.

I ordered at the bar and the food came before anything we had to ask for cutlery, This shouldn't happen, I've worked in this industry and in every establishment I have worked in the tables are/should always be laid up for your booking guests,

On finishing our meals we waited around 30 mins for our table to be cleared, the pub wasn't busy and all we could hear was laughing and joking coming from the kitchen and to top this a waitress came by and removed the menu's from the table and ignored the empty plates, I had to ask for them to be removed in the end

On reflection the food was delicious, Chef is doing a great job, Please take this criticism on board and work on the basics, This isnt the first time we have been for food and this isnt the first time this has happened, The front of house staff...

Little gem, newly refurbished cosy, modern, friendly little local with a great team of staff who were so helpful. They were polite, super friendly and couldn’t do more for us to make sure we were happy with our meal. What a meal it was too. The buttermilk chicken starter was yummy and recommended by Damien front of house/barman who was amazing and so very polite. The homemade Lasagne was delicious and the presentation of both meals were great and plentiful. One of the best Lasagne’s eaten! I have been to local Italian restaurants and this topped this by 100%. Would highly recommend and will be returning with family.

All in all customer service was top notch and it’s is so important in the hospitality business and can mean the difference to success and failure. Big shout to all staff you really make this a great place to visit and well done to management for motivating a happy...

We use this pub several times a week and eat there regularly yet last when inviting my daughter and her boyfriend to meet there for food my daughters meal had been completely forgotten and we had to go and ask where it was and was told they had forgotten to do it. I understand these things happen so not too much of an issue but when the pizza she ordered came and my girlfriend saw it she decided to have one herself only to be told at 7:45 that it was too late. I questioned this with the staff and was told it takes too long to do a pizza so 7:45 is too late to order one. Considering that food is served until 8:00 maybe it should be noted on the menu that this doesn’t apply to pizzas. Quite annoyed tbh considering the business we put there...
