Charley's Chippy — Restaurant in East Cambridgeshire

I placed a order for collection, upon arrival food was not ready and I had to wait 15-20 minutes which wasn’t the end of the world but still disappointing. At home we noticed one portion of chips was missing which isn’t great since the main reason of ordering because it’s a chippy. The food was not great either this time , we have had the food before and it was good but the last two times the standards have dropped for sure.

Popped in for some food after being recommended by friends, but have to say I won't be returning, chicken was very dry, tough and the coating was very soggy the chips where the same. The gentleman behind the fryer was ok with me but was rude to the lady on the till. I've worked in retail 25 plus years and learnt very quickly that you should treat your staff how you wish to be treated, shame the gentleman doesn't treat his staff...

Refused us service and were quite hostile (💀💀💀) unless we made cash payment, despite saying that they have a card machine and that they should accept all cards except Amex (🛩). Food was not prepared fresh and was clearly sat there for a while [⏰️⏳️] before we arrived. Food was ok in the end after a long wait, but I would recommend just going on an app to order from somewhere else or going to another place...
