Darts Farm Fish & Chips Food 10/10 ✅ Service 0/10 ❌

Since going to the US, I can see how we as UK consumers put up with poor customer service and don’t complain.

Take this example at tonight at The Fish Shed:

Order food and canned drinks, at a premium because it’s Darts

Pay the lady in The Fish Shed and a girl comes and swiftly closes the ordering window while we’re standing there. I mention we’ve just ordered and would like our drinks

Lady who we ordered from turns her back and serves someone on the opposite side. I ask her for our drinks, she looks at me blankly a little annoyed and says ‘can you just wait for me to serve this person’

She was literally 2 seconds ago serving us. She then says I can have our drinks we’ve PAID for if I walk around the whole building and go to the other hatch rather than the one she has just served me at.

I just walked away at that point. 15 minutes later, the food was ready and we finally got our drinks

Why do we put up with this. Never going again and would not recommend going. Shame for the chef, as the food was good. I had an incredible salad and Thai fish cakes. The kids had small...

Most disappointed. After a year's absence on our part, things seem to have gone downhill. The yard where the outdoor tables were set, looked rundown and dirty. There were cigarette butts and general litter, it gave an uncared-for impression. Scallops portion was small for the money. Ridiculous to be charged for tartar sauce at a non-cheap restaurant. This restaurant doesn't sell drinks, so when ordering our seafood, we were told we had to go back indoors to buy the drinks separately. This place could do with a cleanup. A local lady seated at the next table to enjoy a takeaway drink told us she had stopped ordering fish there because of the high prices. We shall not...

"Fresh produce , not at the chip shop" Terrible chips, serving pre cooked ,bought in chips, straight out of the plastic bag and into the fryer. Terrible considering darts farm is meant to sell fresh produce not pre cooked rubbish. Staff did apologise and refunded the cost but surely commercially produced chips supplied in catering sized plastic bags isn't the way to go. If you run out of chips take them off the menu don't start selling bought in rubbish , At the end of the day if you cant be bothered to peel some potatoes where else are the standards dropping within the business You may aswell go...
