Alton Hideout Cafe — Restaurant in East Hampshire

I like this place, food is good and the view of the airfield is good. You can sit inside or outside. However, they seem to keep increasing their prices too often.

Popped in today and here is my update since my last visit... I have to say, they have stepped up their Covid 19 hygiene, they have sachets of condiments, they pour your milk, they have a sanitiser right next to the entrance door with the NHS check in sign, but to be honest, it's to little to late and I think they have already lost customers. Can't believe that they have raised their prices AGAIN. Every time there is fresh paint on the blackboard prices. Raising your prices way above what it should be to make up money you have lost is going to backfire. Don't take it out on your customers financially, we are all affected...

This cafe is a very basic greessy spoon type place, however, it has the wonderful small private aeroplanes and take-off/landing strip you can see out of the window, or sit outside & see. We have frequented this place on numerous occasions because the food is fairly good, albiet, the price soon begins to rapidly stack!! Be warned! The atmosphere is ever pleasant and is certainly busy on a Saturday!! Notwithstanding, it's quant, clean, great service and good to visit, at least once anyway. We frequent this establishment on a regular basis and normally have nothing but praise for this cafe. Visited today 17/12 and ordered lunch, had to chase up the coffees twice before finally arriving. We had nearly finished our panini before they arrived. Had a flapjack which when it arrived was like a brick. Pointed out to the staff when we left and they were not interested and said they didn’t make the cakes, NO they sell them. Need to check their products, this had been hanging...
