Black Bull — Restaurant in East Hertfordshire

First time in this pub, not at all impressed. The staff was completely unfriendly couldn't be bothered to greet our group not even a "hello" even though we were clearly not your regulars and no before you make the excuse, you were not busy it was just the he couldn't care less. Consider your staff is handling drinking glasses etc. Standing answering our questions and scratching his head is absolutely disgusting and not washing his hands after well what else can I say. I recommend you spend some time on your staff training. Customer service and a good food hygiene would be a good start. I don't expect much as a customer just a decent customer service and...

The Black Bull has improved massively since a change in management - wouldn't of been somewhere I'd of visited initially under the previous management - when we first moved here. Always a a smile from behind the bar making you feel welcome even when busy. Seasonal/topical promotions (was fab in summer with outside viewing for the football too in the secondary garden area, tucked out the back). Welcome additon of bar food has been great also with Buntingford lacking in places to go to eat of an evening... Keep up...

However when we were there for lunch they had some issues in the kitchen, which I would have had no problem with if they had come and told us instead of from overhearing from others in there.
