It is even trickier for restaurants in the current environment to find a balance that pleases everyone around value for money, quality of food over the costs to just open the doors.
We had a 5pm booking, so the restaurant wasn’t overly busy at that point which may affect service & frequency the meats arrive to you.
Went for the all you can eat @£42.50 each & “all you can eat” is the key I guess to whether this is value for money for you against going to say a Miller & Carter & just ordering what you know you can handle, or how big your appetite is at the time will also play a part - I hadn’t eaten much beforehand & still I filled up pretty quickly, so was disappointed in myself I couldn’t handle more cuts!
The buffet had a range of tasty side dishes to accompany your meats - the new potatoes were well cooked, full of flavours as was the beef stew type dish - again here you’ve got to decide, appetite wise, what you’re going to fill up on as opposed to the cuts of meat you're really there for.
All of the meats were nicely cooked & flavoursome with the ribeye & sirloins clearly the winners. The chorizo sausage was banging, one of the best I’ve had, the stereotypical party on my tastebuds, the chicken was also nicely cooked, not dry & full of flavour. We also tried the lamb & ribs which were fine. Serving was frequent enough to not be staring at an empty plate but time of visit may play a major part for you.
The house red & Favela pint went well with the food.
Overall, I would recommend eating here but only personally speaking it’s not a place I would regularly go over somewhere I can get my 12oz slab of meat & decide whether I want a starter etc. As something for a change, it’s...

My husband and I eat out nearly four times a week and love trying different restaurants, but I strongly advise not to go here.
Firstly: The staff were unwelcoming as soon as we walked in. Despite the restaurant being almost empty, we were squeezed into the smallest corner table.
Secondly: The waitresses stood nearby laughing and talking loudly the entire time, making it difficult for us to even hear each other speak.
Thirdly: The food was disappointing. The salad bar was poor, the lamb was overcooked, and the gammon was so salty it was inedible. The only decent cut was the picanha.
When I tried to raise these issues with the manager, Louis, he was dismissive and extremely condescending. He never once offered an apology and left me feeling so uncomfortable that I actually left in tears—which says a lot, because I would normally never let a situation like this get to me.
I’ve given the area manager a few hours to call and has has not yet called so I’m leaving this review. The vibes are so bad in this restaurant. If you want a good Brazilian with beautiful customer service then please head to EL VAQUERO MILL HILL. They are like family there to us and so kind. We have been going for years and the food is EXCEPTIONAL

★☆☆☆☆ Avoid This Place – Disrespectful & Stingy Service
We visited Nelore Brazilian Steakhouse in Hertford on 18th March 2025, and it was a terrible experience from start to finish. We were a party of three, including two disabled guests, yet we were treated with complete disregard.
Most of the steaks were either never served or given in ridiculously small portions. For example, when the garlic steak finally arrived, they brought just two tiny pieces on a huge skewer—so two of us got a piece, and the third was left with nothing. They never came back with more. The other meats were served in tiny portions, barely covering 1/10th of the skewer, and they tried to split that among the three of us. It was clear that on a Tuesday evening, they were being extremely stingy with their servings.
Chicken never arrived at all. When it finally did, it was completely burnt black. We refused to eat burnt food, and after rejecting it, they never brought any replacement.
The whole experience was a total disgrace and showed complete disrespect to us as customers. We are local residents, and we will make sure to warn all our neighbors, friends, and local church community to stay away from this place.
