Although I've lived in Sawbridgeworth for 25 years, today was my first visit to Mint café. I opted for 'The Feast' full English and a cappuccino. Be warned, "Feast" is an understatement. I've never seen a breakfast like it. I asked for my bacon crispy, that's what I got. I asked for scrambled eggs, they were perfect. Hash browns, mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, black pudding, sausage, beans and toast filled the plate. The cappuccino arrived in a mug the size of a bucket and was great too. I made a pretty good stab at eating the whole plate but in the end I was defeated. I only have one very minor criticism and it's not enough to lose a star. I would have preferred the condiments in dispensers rather than sachets on the table, but as I said, it's nitpicking. I will be back to try again, but only when I've not eaten for three weeks!!
