We came here for my husbands birthday.

Some of the food was really good.

The rosemary potatoes had three flecks of rosemary. So could hardly be called rosemary potatoes. I did bring this to their attention.

The waiter spilt a bottle of coke down the front of my husband. This was an error and in no way deliberate. We all make mistakes, but I believe it’s how you put them right. Instead of taking away the meal instantly and bringing it back not swimming in coke my husband had to explain to the waiter what to do and the meal was swapped to a new plate at the table. This shows a lack of experience and a lack of any senior front of house presence made this worse.

The staff were not trained to look at customers, we were constantly trying to catch their attention while they chatted with each other at the till.

After all of this I was surprised that there was no gesture of a free drink or anything for my husband especially as he had to sit like he had wet himself for the rest of the meal.

Went here for my birthday. Had more than 1 server. Got our menus and drinks in a timely manner. Starter came after a short while. Ordered more drinks and still waited for our dinner. Another couple came in after us and had their starter, then they got their meal. When I looked, it had been an hour and still no dinner. I asked where our food was. They went to look and bought it out to us. It was absolutely disgusting 🫣. I was so angry and hungry because it was now gone 9pm. My spaghetti with sea food had obviously been forgotten and left on a hot plate. It was dry. That dry I struggled to get a muscle off its shell. The Belly pork that came was also disgusting. A small flat piece of meat( if you can call it meat) about the size of a beefburger. It was soggy and mostly fat. Had to ask for the chips that were supposed to come with it, to be presented with a small metal cup of fries. I would not recommend this place. Food was nice and service was ok but a couple of things stopped me putting 5*. We had the table booked about 3 weeks in advance and was booked for 5pm. The first thing the waitress said was that we needed to be finished by 7pm because there is another party booked for the table we was at. I could understand if we had not booked and just walked in but we booked plenty in advance. It just put a dampener on the night straight away.they then forgot to bring an extra chips we had ordered and took as long as it took to eat nearly the whole meal to get them. After some nice mains we got the desert menu and asked what the cheesecake of the day was and 3 of us decided we would have that. They then come back to say there is only one slice left so two chose different deserts which is absolutely fine except we then overheard the same waitress offering the cheesecake to another table near us which was rather annoying.
