Lowe’s on Carter Street — Restaurant in East Staffordshire

We visited here for my birthday and wow.. why have we never heard of this place before?! From the moment we arrived, we found the staff really welcoming and friendly. Our server was very knowledgeable and super helpful with any questions we had. We went for 3 courses which was £35 (what a bargain!). Our starters arrived and they were super tasty and fresh. To make the experience even more personal we had the chef come over to us (after our starters) to see if we had any questions and if there was anything he could do to make us feel more comfortable. We were all really impressed with this special touch as you could tell he was so passionate about his job and the place he is running. Our mains came out and it did not disappoint, the beef was out of this world! It just fell apart. Desserts were also ordered and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole from start to end. We can't wait to come back and we really hope this place gets the custom it deserves with it's high quality food and outstanding...

I had my first of what I plan to be many dining experiences at Lowes this weekend and oh my days what a treat! Firstly, it's a beautiful venue where attention to detail has been so carefully considered. Second to that the staff are delightfully cheery, attentive without being overbearing and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and its components. The food is genuinely some of the best I've had for a long time, food you think you know, up a notch and flavours intensified!! The wine selection is beautifully picked and wonderfully chosen to represent the passion of the business owners love for South Africa and intricate knowledge of the vineyards there. The dessert options had me struggling, whatever I chose meant I had to forego something else, the rum pineapple was exceptional, others in the group jad the chocolate cremuex, not a lick left on the plates. I can't wait to go back, and I won't be waiting too long before that day! Treat yourself, go...

I always drove past this place and thought it looked a bit too high class for me. Tonight they put on a burger night and I thought they had lowered the tone enough for me to take my shot. I went down with my family and we were welcomed by George and his team which was lovely as I didn’t know he ran this place and hadn’t seen him in years - awesome start. We ordered our food and drinks and the service was quick and friendly, the environment was cool too with a lovely Anthony Bourdain painting behind us and some chilled music playing. When the food came it was next level nice, only disappointment was with myself not being able to finish everything. It’s not a burger joint but somehow just cooked me one of the nicest and most original burgers I’ve ever eaten. I will definitely be back can’t wait to see what else they can do....
