Mixed review Everyone enjoyed their starters of bread, tocos & feta fritters. my steak was lovely (t-bone) lots of meat however when youâre paying ÂŁ31.50 for a steak I do think the chips should be included! I had to pay an extra ÂŁ5 for Parmesan truffle fries which quite frankly were awful, hard with no flavour at all. My friends had the porterhouse steak which was basically all fat & bone defiantly not worth ÂŁ50! Then they was charged ÂŁ5 for their chips on top! Burgers were extremely pink one of my friends is pregnant so sent back as itâs unsafe for pregnant women to eat pink meat however it come back just as raw so she couldnât eat it (it was knocked off the bill but one upset pregnant hungry women!) We brought our own cake & candles for our friendâs birthday, cake was brought out no candles & we was told we didnât bring any! (We definitely did!) then saw the box being ripped up asked for it back they said they couldnât cos we had brought it in 2 damaged! For future donât rip up peoples cake boxes until you know they donât want it back. Place looks lovely inside though just a shame about the negatives...
Read moreWe visited la parrilla tonight, what a great addition to Uttoxeter.
Nice welcome from the hostess, aswell as the chefs as we were shown to our table downstairs. (In between passing a fridge with dry aged meats, always a good sign for a steak restaurant!)
We decided on the home baked bread for starters, which came with 2 varieties along with green salsa, cultured yoghurt & spiced seeds (similar to zaatar).
For mains I opted for the picana, (all steaks come with dauphinois and salsa), my partner opted for the skirt steak, an unusual cut to find in a restaurant, but when cooked well, which it was, is delicious. We ordered the hand cut chips, and the broccoli to accompany our mains, both very good.
Waitresses were attentive, and polite, but seemed a bit confused at times, understandable being a new establishment, which naturally comes with teething issues. All in all a good, evening, great food, reasonable pricing and local, will...
Read moreIf i could give zero stars I would. Honestly we showed up for our booked table at 2pm on a sunday. We are from Belfast and visiting family, expecting a lovely Sunday lunch. What we got.was.complete opposite. Bad customer service, wrong drinks, handed kids menus only to be told there were non existing on a Sunday. The lunch menu was worded so badly( even the chef agreed). We waited over an hour for food and when it came the beef was RAW( hadn't ask us how we wanted it cooked), chicken was full of bones and the potatoes and veg were so hard! Don't think we have had a worse experience. They actually charged us for the drinks even through the weren't touched as it was incorrect order!!!!!Nobody knew what was happening or offered a resolution. The chef was understanding but the guy with the grey hair( who I assume was in charge) hung his head...
