Faulty Towers comes to mind after this experience! We were placed in an alcove of a party of 15 adults and 5 children, there was just myself and my partner celebrating our anniversary. Firstly it was extremely noisy secondly it took half an hour before they took our order for starters ( two tiny samosas for myself and 4 small rubbery onion bhaji for my partner. Meanwhile we tried to make the best of the seating situation and spoke to the party of people and they had been there since 5.30pm ( our table was for 7pm) and had not had mains yet. I'm cutting this short as so many things were disappointing as per the mains which was supposed to be Butter prawns which turned out to be 1 whole prawn and a few pieces cut up in a soup style curry that spilled onto the table and the smallest portion of rice I have ever seen in a curry house, certainly not enough to soak the soup curry up. My partner said his food had hardly any taste!! The worst restaurant experience of my life. Not too mention the waiters/ waitress have very limited Engish or basically ignored any of our requests to move table . Should have gone on gut instincts and walked out the moment they...
Read moreThe best Indian meal I've ever experienced!! Attentive and professional table service with a fluidity that totally suited our party of five!! Pickles and poppadoms were delicious, loved the turntable pickle stand and it was plentiful!! The various tasty starters were polished off with plenty of praise, mouth wateringly delicious and full of flavour!! Food warmers were then placed on the table followed by hot plates and an abundance of food......... We had chosen the Delight (a creamy coconut and mango infused creation!) the Peshwari naan (hot, crispy underneath and perfect as a curry scoop!) coconut rice and chips! The portion sizes were very generous and we ate until we could manage no more, all the while giving plenty of praise for our delicious platefuls!! Bombay in Beccles!! We will definitely be visiting again next time we're on the Broads........ wish we had Indian food of this calibre back home......... Great all round experience from start to finish and the bill averaged £20 per person!! Could eat it all...

I did not see there was a door at side of counter (probably from kitchen) and got shouted at to move away as I tried to make an order and got told to take a seat. I was tempted to walk out straight away. So i took a seat to wait for someone to take my order, another guy eventually took it. Received meal in a reasonable time, I ordered Chicken tikka naga, Naga chillies are very spicy. But this dish was disappointing. I Have had naga curries before from other places and I grow them so to get this so mild was a joke. Texture of chicken not great either. Egg pilou rice was OK. Nan was to doughy. Back to rude member of staff. As he was literally 2 feet away from me all he to say was .Please mind that door or something. Won't be using them...
